Roland Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 Getting a bit of experience in a basket Derek is what is missing nowadays with birds going National racing and never been in a basket over 15 hours due to only race marking put back to save a couple of quid. Very true and again realistic. Remember birds held over for quite a few days ... Especially the NRCC if any threat of not being a westerly wind. An absolute bonus Peter and to really bring a pigeon on song they used to keep in a basket back home for at least 2-3 days. Brought condition on a treat ... still does of course. Mind the main and big gripe is of course that the Widowerhood's fear that their' birds will lose a little motivation.
Andrew suckle Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 0/9 and some hand doos to come looks like it's been bad weather most off the way
Delboy Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 I sent nearly my whole team knowing they wouldn't get liberated today the reason I Sent them was for them to get used to being in the baskets for a couple of days hopefully stand them good when the national racing starts. avante Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 the birds will work in when we get a dry spell, which could be tomorrow, but you have to ask why you sent them when the weather told you it was going to be a tough call ,but everyone has there own mind to make up. why wait all year to keep them then put the birds in a position where the weather is going to beat them in the first place .
Paul Mac 31 Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 paul its the weather today is the problem, not the race route Weather was a massive factor Before this the convoy is a near 50% less than last year.... any thoughts?? With only less maybe and average of 10 members
