dal2 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 I'm down 8 birds in 4 Races This time last year I was all up in two races,, dropped 3 and 1 in the otherYearlings Paul? Only ask as when Solway switched year in year out we struggled to keep the yearlings on line
eastcoaster Posted May 7, 2017 Author Report Posted May 7, 2017 Was talking to eastcoaster ya plum lolReckon if ye have more than half within the first hour its been a good raceSorry George thought the same , in my post I said hour behind but was actually 35 mins so did not take clock but I would only have around 5 maybe 7 from 20 .so not a good race for me .
geordie1234 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 How many old birds have you list down the west George or Paul or anybody else lol?9 in four races quarter of my team plus 2 tht are lucky to be alive...
Paul Mac 31 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 Yearlings Paul? Only ask as when Solway switched year in year out we struggled to keep the yearlings on line6 yearlings,,, as anyone who has spoken to me since the decision was made ,,, I predicted my and everyone else's yearlings would struggle with the switch,,, hence if you switch you do it at ybs and stay there East or West... I'm delighted with my results so far this year,,, they are looking well,,, what I'm not happy with and honest about is the quality of racing ,, it shouldn't be taking 12 hours to get club,,Fed ,, or if yer Nat minded ,,,doos to get home from 100 miles,,, that's not pigeon racing in my eyes
dal2 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 6 yearlings,,, as anyone who has spoken to me since the decision was made ,,, I predicted my and everyone else's yearlings would struggle with the switch,,, hence if you switch you do it at ybs and stay there East or West... I'm delighted with my results so far this year,,, they are looking well,,, what I'm not happy with and honest about is the quality of racing ,, it shouldn't be taking 12 hours to get club,,Fed ,, or if yer Nat minded ,,,doos to get home from 100 miles,,, that's not pigeon racing in my eyesNo its deffo not what's required from 100 miles....are you of the opinion that the Moffat Hills are the problem?
dunc50 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 Duncan read the facts it's all there to be seen and as Tommy says there only 200 from them going eastandy you and yer bum chum sent near to a 100 birds east and 3 to the fed, every man can do what ever he wants with his birds thats there prerogative, we dont need *expletive removed* constantly throwing it in there faces about there loses ,, me and my son will be cleaned out shortly , but i aint looking for any Stanley knifes, as got plenty youngsters,
Paul Mac 31 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 No its deffo not what's required from 100 miles....are you of the opinion that the Moffat Hills are the problem? put it this way there is bops both sides,,, I've had stinkers both routes,,,so has everyone,,, but it is a Fact that the Lake District and sharp,,, Moffat is polluted In my loft I can build a team better on the east route,,, that's my opinion How you can have record birds sent in the 2016 old bird program ( for 3 years) at all races out to race 8And then change the route is beyond me,,, however I have adapted and go with the majority as we have always done,,, seems it's the same names at the top of the club sheets,,,
eastcoaster Posted May 7, 2017 Author Report Posted May 7, 2017 1st race never sent 2nd race 6 3rd race 7 4th race 2 = 15 in 3 races not bloody good but I tried the no training or racing ybs , failed , all yearlings bar 2 but not sure about it being the west to blame ,This week if you were out at loft at 8 in morning your bollockes would be frozen. Jmo
Paul Mac 31 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 andy you and yer bum chum sent near to a 100 birds east and 3 to the fed, every man can do what ever he wants with his birds thats there prerogative, we dont need *expletive removed* constantly throwing it in there faces about there loses ,, me and my son will be cleaned out shortly , but i aint looking for any Stanley knifes, as got plenty youngsters, Duncan I'm in no way throwing loses in faces,,, I'm stating what I feel are valid facts,,, I hate seeing guys losing doos ,, even guys that might not like us,,, When folk stick their hand in a fire and it gets burnt ,, why do it again,,, that's the west route in my opinion,,, history has shown this,,,Hope yer doos work in
King billy 2 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 Race 4 in 2016 . 7428 birdsRace 4 in 2017 . 5200 approx Call that 30% down,,,, but no ones lost a doo lolThese doos where lost last year down the east that's how the birdeg is down
Paul Mac 31 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 These doos where lost last year down the east that's how the birdeg is down[/quot Your another with yer head in the sand... go and calculate the average entry of last years yb program... compare it with the the Norm... zero difference...
Andrew suckle Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 andy you and yer bum chum sent near to a 100 birds east and 3 to the fed, every man can do what ever he wants with his birds thats there prerogative, we dont need *expletive removed* constantly throwing it in there faces about there loses ,, me and my son will be cleaned out shortly , but i aint looking for any Stanley knifes, as got plenty youngsters,As I know wit the west route is like that's the reason if I sent all my Doos west I would be hammered like a few

bigjamie Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 CHEERS PAUL AND YOUR BANG ON GIVE THE BIRDS A FEW YEARS TO SETTLE TO THERE RACE PROG
dal2 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 put it this way there is bops both sides,,, I've had stinkers both routes,,,so has everyone,,, but it is a Fact that the Lake District and sharp,,, Moffat is polluted In my loft I can build a team better on the east route,,, that's my opinion How you can have record birds sent in the 2016 old bird program ( for 3 years) at all races out to race 8And then change the route is beyond me,,, however I have adapted and go with the majority as we have always done,,, seems it's the same names at the top of the club sheets,,,We went east then West Paul but to be honest the loses soon were on a parity....Solway fly the same programme obviously except north of Moffat and the racing has been absolutely terrific for the last 3yrs
ALF Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 Last year we started the yb season with maybe 10 more doos than we started the old bird season this year last year we had 38 yb's at Retford 210 mls that had flew every yb race this year we will be lucky if we have 38 old doos at Stafford if we send most of our team
Paul Mac 31 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 Hence the fact that most of this years loses will happen in the first 5 weeks.

frank-123 Posted May 7, 2017 Report Posted May 7, 2017 Go into your lofts split your youngbird team in half. Use one half for the west route in July see come August the second team should be fine down the West.
