Bobby4 Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 It's not peregrine that's stopping the pigeons it's something else satellites wind farms bad controlling the list is endlessIf you read my answer a did not say it was all perrigrines that causes bad returns it is endless of the hurdles they go thro an maybe they didn't get across the channell but why so few get to Lanarkshire an we have a hundred more birds than the south an still they have 4 times as many doos home than Lanarkshire (not wind farms) an not the extra 70ml

Paul Mac 31 Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 Im looking thru the posts.. and fair play to the lads that got them.. well done..But words like hard and tough race.. Its been a *expletive removed* disgrace!! Seriously look at it... of what we know numbers wise... Take section A out of it... ( and again well done to they boys and the winner) Add all the other section birds together there is less than 2% of the birds home !!Not 20% and they will work in...*expletive removed* 2%!!! Its been a chernobyl... lets not butter it up... 0/1 here.

glencameron Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 Congratulations to the winners and brave pigeons home on the night and through the race In this day and age the SNFC on the website should be publishing at the time of liberation, the digital images of the channel and forecasts for the channel through relevant times, they should publish the line of flight information they have sought and received through France, alongside weather observations at the time of liberation. It does not feel sufficient to hear the pigeons left the liberation site in seconds or receive a backdated (glossed over perception of the happenings retrospectively) I appreciate the request is onerous as well as getting temperature updates etc but in this day and age the information is available. Fanciers themselves must should some blame for the memories are too short , one good race and it all gets forgotten (and as we have more races a season we will get a good one) . You have to earn your respect when things are tough, it is possible to liberate when others don’t if you have information which supports a perceived successful race. Also it stops the internet in it's tracks from the start as it shows how a balanced judgement was made (hopefully it is not as simple as it looked ok when I saw the BBC weather forecast or the transporters needed to be back for Ypres)
yeboah Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 Well Done Derek and Robert clocking after all this time after liberation the bloody wind against them today is bad enoughTop marks to your doos and yourselves for conditioning them to never give up They will be next years champions Best Regards Mick
