Trying these this year, had a few lads been very impressed using these.

Results within a few weeks after feeding P40 concentrate:

A signnificant increase of vitality

An increase of muscular strength and endurance

A better resistance to infectious diseases

Result:

Pigeons remain in top condition even under varied circumstances

finer colour and plumage

a full development of all hereditary qualities

Feeding advice

Gradually replace (1 week – 10 days) 1/4 to 1/3 of the pigeon mixture you are usualy feeding by P40 Pigeon pellets.

Plenty of fresh water and grit should always be available.

Feed P40 Pigeon pellets all year round. Feed extra when you think your pigeons need more, e.g.

– some days before mating

– during breeding

– during molting

– before and after a big flight

P40 supplementary Pigeon pellet is an ideal addition therefore you may feed a basic mixture of healthy grains, beans and/or peas. Mixing 2 to 3 parts with 1 part P40 Pigeonpellet will give excellent results.

Young pigeons will grow faster with P40 Pigeon pellet and will have to be ringed a few days earlier.

Feeding extra vitamins is not necessary.

P40 Pigeon pellets are particularly suitable for periods of exertion.

i always have G10,s available for the rearers . tried the Versel-Laga pellets 1 year (after getting several free packs at Blackpool) , birds ate them with vigour . however the best ive found are Chicken rearing pellets , get nice big bold youngsters . i think all are "much of a muchness" however the chicken pellets are a lot cheaper :emoticon-0138-thinking:

yes in the main Ryan . occasionally given youngsters G10,s during racing , but not routinely. if i have any left at season end , all will get some .

Have only ever used G10's. I find the true value of pellets is they're easily and quickly digestible. Fed to pigeons whilst breeding at a rate of 20% of morning feed only. Only time racers get them is on return from a race, again at a rate of 20%.

Heard of some hopper feeding them to International racers and topping up with mixture.

Blaz used to use them, but he stated you had to keep an eye on the pigeons weight because they could overeat. :)

Good to get them use to pellets, that way when and if young bird sickness shows it ugly head, they will eat them readily, easy to digest and if they are being sick there's nothing for the other birds to pick up and eat.

What’s the best pellet on the market made for pigeons? G10’s, Bos or any others...and your reasons why

Hi Ryan I know I'm not your best pal the now :emoticon-0136-giggle: . But I don't really give a .*expletive removed* :emoticon-0136-giggle: :emoticon-0136-giggle: . I know you like to try new/different things if you try only one pair with barely and layers pellets available to them 24/7 you will be amazed at the raising of the young birds .

To cut a long story short no standing up and rocking back with the young birds. And absolutely no noise from the stock/young bird section. :peace-sign-258:

Just a update to say the birds really have come on well, the youngsters have really grown. Which was claimed on the bag, I have found the youngsters need ringing earlier, which has surprised me.

I also think that this will be a great product for youngbirds sickness, as it will leave nothing for the other birds to pick at.

So stopping the possibility of young bird sickness spreading.
