Craftyfifer now owns RV Woodcraft. The people in the racing pigeon world will understand and realise, that this is a great company.

 

RV Woodcraft was owned and run by Ray Vidler and wife Daphne, from Dover, for over 17 years. It is a very successful business, supplying thousands of customers over the years. Once it was made aware to me by Steve O'Dea and Peter Hargreaves, that it was possible for me to take over, the wheels were set in motion.

 

I flew down to see Ray and Daphne, and after a nice day, was decided to go for it. Ray then drove up with all the machinery and spent the day in my new unit. He is returning next week to help me get on my feet.

 

I have had a huge amount of support from all over, but especially my wife Karin Robertson Wight, who has seen it all unfold. There's been lots of late nights and long hours to get things in place, so a huge thank you to my partner in crime.

 

I had told only a handful of people what my plans were, and it was received with great support and excitement, which was great.

 

So from today I will be running the 2 businesses, with my first employee, John Harkins, who has been a great help setting up. I will have my wife in the office from 1st July, with the plan to build as we progress.

 

I look forward to the challenge ahead, and once again thank you to everyone for your support. Feel free to pop in for a coffee.
