I know we have to think about the guys in the North but as far as I can see all of the Scottish Feds are up this morning from roughly the same area ( Lanarkshire only 19 mls short of Buckingham ) , not one for criticising controllers but still a bit bemused that the birds are held over :emoticon-0138-thinking:

My sentiments exactly and we fly north of Dundee. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating as they say, thankfully we only sent 6. AW THE BEST ;)

I am only about 8 miles from the lib site at Buckingham. The weather here has been completely overcast all morning

with quite a heavy haze.

The sun is only just trying to break through but it is still not good enough for a lib. - I would say your race controller/convoyer are on top of the game lads.

Hope you get a lib and a good race

We spoke about that earlier Andy the birds should have been moved early this morning Baz Nicol put a post on Pigeon chat earlier and as far as i can see nobody has liberated from Buckingham this morning and we are not alone at the race point

My thoughts exactly,looking the forecast cloud there again in the morning, a lot of rain west of Scotland tmro afternoon..Tuesday is a washout,if the committee feel only a 50/50 chance again tmro,better making the desicion and moving today...Fanciers have gold cup birds etc on board, and maybe putting marking back like most federations done should have been considered

Hopefully they will get off tomorrow and we shall not return to Buckingham if it hasweather issues

I can assure you that I was not criticising the controllers, as my post said. As for standing up and taking on a position, having heard some of the shambolic AGM's that have taken place, do I really want to be part of it .............think not.

Aye your correct John it's easy to critisize from your arm chair don't forget the snfc got it right on a number of occasions last year when other organisations got it dead wrong let's hope they have got it right again.

Agree with every word you have said as these are also my thoughts, however, not particularly regards this race but sometimes criticism is justified

I personally think today was too early to be looking at bringing birds back to Leicester, now when the controllers are looking at the weather for tomorrow there would be a case for doing so, but it's their call, and we have to get on with it,we have Gold Cup candidates out there also and time is running out for them.

I'm working tomorrow, if they go up early I will need to ask for a half day or miss the race, hay-ho, then their is the clocks the following day!

Doo racing it's a wonderful sport
