Ive had no proplems I have tossed 40 from 2mls to 35mls 12 times and dropped 1 . I stay away from the usual roots I have trained a lot from the west and stayed away from the coast, I know some will say you have train them the way they will race . I by training the birds from the west am getting the birds fit and used to coming out of the baskets not showing them the route home Im sure the bops know where most of us train from and use it for easy pickings. I know they will have to face this band off marauders every weekend racing but at least they have had stress free training up till now.

It seems to have worked out for me and my Y/Bs seem to be in A1 condition just now

Had 2 disasterous tosses in last week from 20 miles and 11 miles, lost 25 and 12, that's half my team away. Never seen the likes of it in my 40 years in this game.

Thats a huge loss of Ybs Derek, hopefully you'll manage to get the rest to the Yb race programme without any more percy strikes.

Tossed 29 2 hours 15 mins ago, 1/29 ???

How far had you them away ??

Have any of you lads with losses gone back to Columbovac pmv this season. I have and that is the only thing that has changed in my routine, my ybs (second toss) took 90 mins to do 10 miles with two or three turning up after 3 days.

I've had 10 tosses 7 of them been bust up and taking up to 6 hours to get home never seen anything like it in the 50 or so years of keeping pigeons

been training all week down the coast no problem with percy

what I have had is my birds turning up with other birds on about 5 occasions

and ive had the odd bird late ,

but I put that down to getting mixed up with other kits of trainers

I had 7 strays come with mine on Tuesday they took 4 or 5 hours to clear my loft

I know all about peregrine falcons and sparrowhawks, I also know my own birds and the way they behave after a falcon/sparrowhawk attack, as I have had vast experience of it. After my birds returned they did not behave as they would after an attack. Therefore I am looking for REASONS not EXCUSES.

reasons wont cure the problem, and percy is certainly no excuse... its a fact!!!

Seen about 20 odd strikes from Percy and I've seen them miss the 20 odd times, Did see 1 time it carrying a white racer once but missed the strike

But however just because they miss the birds I've seen smash into tree's/roofs/wires is a very high figure

the damage from 1 strike successful on non successful is unreal! pigeons go into panic mode and just dive or spread any direction! that's why you get birds reported in the likes of Elgin from Edinburgh because they just panic and travel miles then find lost!

There is only one reason behind this!!!
