Buckie Result
daviedoo22 replied to grizzle09's topic in North Of Scotland Federation and Club Results
When birds are offering to land in a field that can only mean one thing. Something in the sky above them Lee. Witnessed it many times. I’ve heard reports from 2 lofts in Peterhead returns were 52/52 and 68/69 -
Hope they supply ear defenders in the stores
-
Not sure why the owners partly to blame. For what? Keeping some chickens, looking after, feeding and keeping them healthy, spending some money to do so. Providing food for his family. But this fox is too lazy to hunt. Can’t be a r a ed to run after a rabbit. This fox probably hasn’t done a days work in its life. But can freely turn up at the coup and cause mayhem
-
What would your advise be, let’s say hypothetically if the accused threatened to burn your loft down The Fox would be trapped, snared or shot.
-
Don’t think he’ll be in crimond much longer
-
If it’s manageable they’ll kill it.
-
It’s not a Birthday, it’s the anniversary of his death!
-
That’s nothing new.
-
Shocking. Fingers crossed and let’s hope it doesn’t hit hard like London is getting. Stay safe
-
So what’s the problem? I’m sure that I saw an interview with the manager of the warehouse in Glasgow that supplies NHS with PPE. I’m sure he said that there was plenty stock
-
Never realised that! Disgraceful. They knew it was coming
-
Looks like Scotland seems to be coping better. Don’t seem to hear the same complaints from NHS Scotland as regards PPE. Hope they are supported well enough as they deserve
-
Aye. And the selfish bastewards that are stripping the shelves in supermarkets depriving NHS workers of essential groceries should be ashamed. If you need that amount of bog roll you should of seen your GP long before this time!!
-
49???? Must of had a hard paper round!! Hope you had a nice day

He’s not proposing to stop racing just adjusting the season. Juvenile peregrines stay with the parents around a month after fledgling. And what months would that be? Less than a third last until breeding age.
-
Best of luck with your proposal Derek. If you get it through and YB racing improves think many will follow suit. There is still many in the sport that dismiss the peregrine falcon as the main culprit for the disasters the feds are having. As you said with climate change it is possible.

I’ve heard there’s 5 pair in Aberdeen
-
If this rule was adhered to. The pigeons would be disease free within one season.
-
I witnessed a training display for the first time last week in Aberdeen City centre. Spotted an adult in the sky carrying a kill I presume it was a female because it was massive. Suddenly she dropped the pray and from nowhere a youngster stooped in at speed and took the prey. They carried on side by side with the youngster carrying the prey towards the nest sight at marischal college. They were being pestered by swooping seagulls. The adult just turned and like a flash nailed a seagull.

This Is Not Pigeon Racing

Yes Gordon we all know that the birds young or old don’t perform so well with east in the wind. But when they arrived they did so in big batches 15s and 20s especially in the shorter races. Clear sky and early lib. Breakfast time! Weather conditions and wind direction yesterday from Banff westward the birds should of been doing 1300s minimum. But they return hours late and arrive in 1s and 2s. -

You’d be surprised Ryan. On a line of flight from Forfar to Peterhead there’s roughly a dozen pair. Factor in 2 to 3 young being taught to kill at this time of year. Not sure if you’ve ever witnessed a peregrine having a go at batches of doo’s. It’s not a pretty sight. Birds are scattered in all directions. Also if you ask Davie Barrie he has witnessed the whole convoy being turned and chased inland. -
Be better studying the Peregrine Falcon and the RSPB on their work to over populate this pigeon predator
-
Birds seen racing over Peterhead between 09:00 and 09:25
-
Exactly. Only one thing in my opinion stoping the birds. Well not one there’s thousands of them!

Well done Gordon. A game yearling to keep going on a hard day. Motivation was obviously spot on. One for the future if she gets the luck.
