vandenabeele Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Ideal for a one loft race, a good route and location for the ybs to fly into. www.scottishoneloftrace.co.ukgood route but to short needs to be 300 mls + other wise you get big batches to gether go with combine 345 mls would be best young bird race in country
WulDon Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 good route but to short needs to be 300 mls + other wise you get big batches to gether go with combine 345 mls would be best young bird race in country agree there, let the best doos lead the way!
just ask me Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 good route but to short needs to be 300 mls + other wise you get big batches to gether go with combine 345 mls would be best young bird race in country by the time you get to the final the best one loft races are lucky to have 40% of the original convoy left there wont be too many batches at the final race
JADE Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 I see the final race is probably Leicester. Will this be a race only for the one loft birds or are they hitching a lift with the SNFC. I think this should be made clear as being part of a larger convoy would take the "magic" away from the winner imo

I think this should be made clear as being part of a larger convoy would take the "magic" away from the winner imo I read it as Leicester 230 miles without a mention of the national, maybe the one loft race is the week before the national.??? then anyone wanting to send to the national can, as this happened before with the S.H.U olr
frank-123 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Will enter a few myself Billy Holland is a great doo man. Now need to mooch some doos ???
Guest paulrstokes Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Is he going to have a licence for the one loft race, as after the goings on at the emerald classic I am a little dubious about these races
naedoos Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 The winner of this race to us in the West holds no Magic with the greatest of respect. We are only flying for the Section which is the winner for us. With respect, To win a section, and still not feel the "Magic" I'm afraid I widnae be racing doo's
bigbill Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Will enter a few myself Billy Holland is a great doo man. Now need to mooch some doos ??? I will breed you some ,
VMS Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 With respect, To win a section, and still not feel the "Magic" I'm afraid I widnae be racing doo's No winning the section is the Magic for us,mearly emphasising that's its impossible or very unlikely to win this race in the West so the Magic of 1st open in this race does not hold the esteem as other races that we have a chance in
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Is he going to have a licence for the one loft race, as after the goings on at the emerald classic I am a little dubious about these racesAre you saying this guy was involved in another race that didnt go well.
TheHigg Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 i take it they will all be darkness youngsters going by the dates they have to be at lamberton
Guest paulrstokes Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Are you saying this guy was involved in another race that didnt go well. No not at all my friend, just there was a race this year where it would appear the only winner was the loft owner and as he had no licence for the one loft race there is nothing that can be done
loanhead Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 good route but to short needs to be 300 mls + other wise you get big batches to gether go with combine 345 mls . Its time the SNFC YB National was at this distance! We were flying 290mls + from Cheltenham all these years ago, without youngsters being on darkness/light systems. We flew Dorcherster (350mls)with YB's approx 20 years ago when Eddie Newcombe was in Scotland. Pentland Specialist YB race flew Harlow 320mls a few years ago with great returns on the day, (90%)
