fred x Posted November 4, 2018 Report Posted November 4, 2018 I've pairing up my pigeons early, to get them settled in their next boxes, I will let them sit some dummy eggs, then I will part them, So when I return back from Blackpool in January, I will put them back together again, ready for breeding,
andy Burgess Posted November 4, 2018 Report Posted November 4, 2018 i was under the impression the first eggs from a yearling hen were the best she will ever produce. so would never pre-pair them ?
Roland Posted November 4, 2018 Report Posted November 4, 2018 i was under the impression the first eggs from a yearling hen were the best she will ever produce. so would never pre-pair them ?that's often said. By very many good flyers too!
Kyleakin Lofts Posted November 4, 2018 Report Posted November 4, 2018 i was under the impression the first eggs from a yearling hen were the best she will ever produce. so would never pre-pair them ? Nowadays that could be transferred to Young Hens, since they now pair them that early and when the saying came out it was unheard of for YB's to be paired, the exception rather than the rule.
