    Antone help

I have in my loft, a gay pied Tumbler ? Roller ? High flying Mac ? I'm not really sure. It is ringed and as far as I can make out, it's No is 1809 NRO 96 A. You always find these pigeons are just a bundle of feathers and this one is no different and I would like it to go back to it's owner.
  2. Overnight rain here, washed most of the snow away so we should get a good start in the morning ( Fri 6am ) but don't know what we may run into.

    rpra rings 2010

Rubbish, can't be defaced in any way or they become void. They should be developing a normal race ring that embraces the chip within the ring itself. All the time we have these add ons, they can still be removed and used by others. Another rip off.
  4. Heavy snowfall here last night, some 7"/8" Nr Dover. Still optimistic about going to B/Pool some 250ml for me, because we've still got 9 days for it to clear.

    Dark Days

Heavy rain and high winds but not waterlogged and for the next two weeks + we won't see any of it because we'll be sunning it on a Carrabean Cruise as from Weds. Oh happy days.
  6. So many upsets which we all seem/have to bounce back from. Most recent one, just this OB season, sent 5 pigeons with 7 firsts between them to Tours 266mls. To this day, never seen a pigeon, rest of club 100% returns. Difficult to explain as to why.
  7. Would anyone know the Tel No of a Mark Gibert of the Docaster area. ? Thanks in advance.
  8. Know a telephone No for a Mark Sigwell ? of Yorkshire area. I think he has the Wildermersch pigeons. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hi Denny, The homing instinct of a fantail, is not as complete as that of a true racing pigeon and I would say if your friend manages to catch them and take them for a ride, the chances of them returning are very, very, minimal, especially if it was a distance say of about 20mls.
  10. Might sound silly to a lot but this year as in every year, I hoover my lawn maybe 2/3 times a week with the "HENRY" hoover, he's my best friend at this time of year.

    WINTER

Shall be changing my yb perching system. I intend to revert back to boxes with a removable shelf underneath them, spanning 4 boxes. Just pull the shelf out and have one end over a bucket and scrape into the bucket cleaning all 4 boxes at once. Best system I've ever seen. Other than that, I'm quite happy with what I've got.
  13. Going back 50+ years I always bought stock in from Louella and continue to do so if I see something I might need. This year was the only time I have been let down, I bought a lovely Bl C an 01 pigeon and he hasn't filled an egg so it's money down the drain and of course the cock is no longer with me.

    P/F/S

I think that Cider Vinegar has more value than we give it credit for. A correct dosage and times per week would be most useful for someones pigeon calendar. Any offers ? Must admit, I use Baytril every year except this year and YBS has hit me. Never had it before and not saying that Baytril has kept it away but I'm back on it in November.

    Benzing ets

IMO I think it's the best. I've had my Benzing M1 two seasons and used it for one, not had an update yet. ALL ETS must be compatible, mine is with , Bricon and Taurus so should be with all others. If you have a printer that is reading out other clock info, then just send the info from your clock to the same printer and it will print. There's a lovely couple on here that go under the tag of ABBEYPAP. Most helpful, can pm or phone them anytime and they will get you sorted.
  16. Owen, I would say that's correct.
  17. Hi Pigeon-Man, Yep, I think I've misunderstood the using of a life ring. I thought the registration ring we all put on our pigeons, would have the ET chip No incorporated in it, just like a swipe card and therefore could not be removed. Still a long way to go then.
  18. I thought the word " compatible " meant that it had to work with all systems. I know my Benzing ET rings work on Bricon and Tauris base units. The sad thing is that if your pigeon goes in a loft and has it's chip removed, it can be used on the "thiefs" ETS. They say they are tryng to incorporate the ET ring into the registration ring, I can see the downfall of that being that once the pigeon has been ringed, it's got it for life. If you have a team of youngsters go backwards and you have to lose them, you will lose the ET ring as well unless you can use them on other babies. I'm afraid it's a tale of if's and buts. I think I would prefer things as they are.
  19. You know it makes me sick when you hear people class our pigeons as flying rats. Some of these lofts could house humans showing the care and attention we give our birds and are a credit to all.
  20. Wished rain had stopped me training yesterday, 5 down from 28. 2hrs 5mins for 18mls yb racing looking very distant at the minute.
  21. 18 ml toss this morning, taking them a little further this afternoon 2:30 ish. Finally responding to education.
  22. I have for sometime now been pushing the Benzing ets as being the best system I know of and I'm not rubbing shoulders with anyone either. I had trouble setting mine up but it was me and not the clock at fault. There's a most helpful couple on this forum who go under the tag ABBEYPAPcouldn't do enough for me and I'm certain you would get the same support. They sorted mine for me on the Thursday as I managed to top the Fed on the Sat. BENZING all the way.
