  1. Belgium actually has the highest death rate of all European countries, it has a small population, the death rate is over 751 per million (UK is 469 per million - all today's figures) it's very sad, especially as the infection was picked up in what should have been a safe environment
  2. For me, it's not careful enough for any of the parties, face masks are a must, and there needs to be four for getting baskets on transporter for NEHU, 2 in the transporter and 2 outside to pass baskets as they can't be put on the transporter externally and there's a big step up
  3. Looks well organised Terry
  4. Bred by Maurice Mattheeuws of Brugge
  5. You can report here:- https://nwhu.co.uk/TempDir/stray-pigeons/stray-pigeon-form/
  6. If staff have been furloughed the government are paying their wages (or will be @ 80%) and they're not allowed to do anything workwise for the company they are furloughed from, and that includes answering phones and e-mails The NEHU has unpaid volunteers and I don't think the staff have been furloughed
  7. NEHU is the same - requiring ring numbers this early for the following year
  8. Not everybody will be at the clubhouse, those at risk and advised not to leave the house will be relying on others to take their birds, only a few will be putting the birds through, there will be no double handling if birds, no swapping about - my own club has 18 members - 2 new members this year - we have loads of members at high risk by age or poor health, the majority will not be racing if they don't get any help, myself included
  9. I have made a few face masks for personal use, and I always use latex gloves when I bath the dog and buy them by the box of 100 - but see they have increased from £3.99 to £14.99 when you can get them,as PPE looks increasingly likely to be required, should we be responsible for ensuring we have our own, or do you expect others to provide it?

  11. Before last week, the last time I baked a cake was in June 2002 when I couldn't sleep, last week I baked 4 cakes and a pile of scones, and have baked two more cakes so far this week and another load of scones, as I'm on lockdown for a minimum of 12 weeks I'll be needing some new clothes as nothing is going to fit!
  12. Over 70's already are on a 3 month lockdown, and people with underlying health conditions
  13. None at the moment
  14. So all sorts of pages are popping up on Facebook, help pages etc because of Corvid 19 - and a young lady posted can somebody pick up her medication from the chemist, umpteen posts with phone numbers etc of legitimate council run groups of volunteers and this dumb young lady puts on Facebook that she needs her morphine and oramorph collecting - I respectfully suggested she not divulge her prescription list and remove that part of her post and she wants to know why,was I offended - are people born stupid or do they work at it
  15. I know Archie - hence why I haven't seen my daughter and grandchildren and Ged hasn't been to work as we're on vulnerable list (we were surprised he got full pay as he's not entitled to SSP)
  16. They're ignoring it,or maybe think it doesn't apply to them -God knows??
  17. I'm on lockdown for 12 weeks with hubby, so is my daughter as my granddaughter is in her third year of chemotherapy, so also on 12 week lockdown, and haven't seen granddaughter for over 3 weeks even though only 2 miles away, next door neighbours have been furloughed - and have had visitors for 3 out of the last 4 days, all day in the garden noisy kids
  18. Russia have 8672 cases and 63 deaths
  19. It's not,as there is information on the internet telling you not to self medicate as the treatment could be lethal to some people if a high dose is taken,it is still in the early stages
  20. Makes you wonder though if it is a virus or a parasite
  21. Non medical masks generally stop the person wearing the mask from spraying others, but offers little protection from others, however it is better than nothing
  22. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8186287/Monash-University-scientists-anti-parasite-Ivermectin-kill-COVID-19-cells-two-days.html And it's Ivermectin
  23. You can't buy any (except from China) but I made some and the other half wore one to pick up an order from Asda on Monday, first time he's been anywhere for over two weeks and I haven't been over the doorstep
