There's a few in the NE area from Suffolk - Whitby as well, don't know if somebody local has bought them in and they haven't been transferred, or something gone wrong with a training toss

Two races for us Saturday - Oakham 12/12 Roye, France a disaster for us, but not it seems for some. Suspecting at the moment that they may have clashed with Welsh birds at Maidstone as birds have been reported in Gloucester and on the West coast we only had 3/14 on the day, the last one arriving at 8.47pm covered in oil, including her beak - formerly a beautiful little 5 year old hen that had a 2nd Roye 2 years ago, but suffered a hawk attack last year so wasn't raced, we're softies, if she survives she has retired! She's looking very bedraggled at the minute, having suffered the indignity of being soaked in washing up liquid. We got 3 birds back on day 2 - so still 8 adrift, the best flier in our club had only 1 back on the day, and a 2nd back day 2,with another one reported out of 9 sent, another club member had nothing on the day and 2 out of 5 on day 2. It was a nose ender with the combine topper doing 1234ypm

I think it has been a strange year altogether, youngsters on the dark and loads have cast flights - some down to 4 & 5, and even some of the old birds are down to 6 - yet others still have a full wing

We have only had 3 tosses,young birds just will not range for some reason, 2 adrift currently from 33), transporter training starts 21st July (at 32 miles or so) so must get them to atleast 20 miles by then, currently less than 10!

Don't believe all you read in the papers! My local authority was reported in the national newspapers as having a possible local lockdown as there had been a spike in the number of confirmed cases - increased 100% - after recording no cases the week before, it had one new case

I think in previous years the Scottish strays have transferred to the West Durham stray centre for pick up, but the West Durham stray centre is not open (as those looking after the birds are over 70 years old)

The fastest velocity I have seen so far is in East Cleveland doing 1833ypm - it is so windy I expected them to be faster than that!

Not that brilliant today either, only sent half a team as I wasn't happy with the weather forecast - I currently have 5 missing from 24 sent

They were based in Barnsley and flew in the mid Yorkshire combine (Google is your friend) however I don't know much about them
