Folding A Club

What is the correct procedure to fold a club? Does anyone know?

It would need to be brought up at meeting ie proposal then voted on if passed a everything sold and anything outstanding payed then the rest split.that would be my understanding of it

Aww that’s what a thought John... just that a clubmate was at a fed delegates meeting today and a member of the said club who like myself is in 2 club told him that one of my clubs had folded but I was never notified of A meeting and neither was 3 other clubmates 👊

my understanding of it is

 

you have to be informed of a special meeting whos purpose

is the dissolving of the club

 

and it needs a 2/3rds majority in favour of dissolving

and that has to be in writing from all members present

wishing to dissolve the club

 

 

this is what we had to do around 20 years ago to close the club

the club cannot be dissolved unless a two-thirds majority of its members give their consent in writing which should be obtained at a special meeting convened for the purpose of such dissolution club assets must be realised and divided equally amongst all members who are free from debt to the club this is for shu clubs hope this helps

Get someone that used to be in your club to sell your clubroom without telling you and keep the cash.

Inform the SHU that this has happened so they can do sweet FA about it.

Take a day off your work to go and see the SHU about this situation.

Get the member suspended from the SHU.

SHU lifts the suspension for no apparent reason.

Member gets off scot free to kid on he's racing birds.

 

Well that's one way I suppose!!!!!

That's the way my old club did it John ,unanimous decision from members , I then contacted federation to inform them then I contacted SHU about it too just to keep it right .and to see if we owed any outstanding debt .

I also think you would need a balance sheet done for meeting ,money in bank ,cash in hand ,assets ,if there is a building value ,etc,to give to all members.

Well we thought we would of since there hadn't been an agm for the previous 2 years when your pal was secretary before he just walked away without leaving balance sheets etc. Then after he had supposedly resigned and wanted nothing more to do with the club he then proceded to sell our new clubroom tbat was bought from money raised from birds donated from members on this website 2 weeks before the racing was due to start last year.

 

There was never any letters sent out to fold the club as there were members willing to keep the club going.

 

The SHU were informed all of these facts and although seemed keen to sort it out initially they obviously backed whatever he was telling them over the facts that we gave them.

 

So what's the point? Our club still exists but nothing can ever take away what he did.

Terrible thing to happen, surely if the SHU cant or aren't doing anything about the case, then take it to Judge Rinder, am sure he would like to hear about this case. :emoticon-0136-giggle:

1 The same club you wouldna send your pigeons with the previous season you decided to do an over 50 miles round trip to basket and never supported your club. FACT!

 

2 You were informed by text and letters about meetings and never responded or turned up Fact !

 

3 The cabin in question had to be moved of where it was as new owners had taken over the premises and it wasnt allowed to stay. FACT!

 

4.The person your blaming wasnt the one who sold the cabin .FACT!!

 

5.YOU HAVE ASSETS TO THE SAME VALUE OR MORE THAT BELONGED THE CLUB I.E ETS SYSTEMS AND LAPTOP ETC TO THE SAME VALUE AS WHAT 3 MEMBERS SHARED WHEN THE CABIN WAS SOLD CHEAP AGAIN FACT !

 

JUST SO PEOPLE KNOW A BIT OF THE OTHERSIDE OF THIS STORY !!!!!!!!
