Aye it is Stu, I personally had similar returns going east and west with LSC. The point im making is, Glasgow are ok with ob racing but when it comes to the ybs they get hammered. Even going with Lanarkshire down the west with ybs would be better returns than Glasgows had in last few years.IMO.

I am told there were only 10 Airdrie members present so the club which I am a member were only a fraction of the successful vote as for date mix up sure,ly we can sort this out at delegate meeting , I am neither for or against the route we race but still think it crazy you all want to go on your own to the longer races ,WHY , I would hope you all would want to test your pigeons and own ability and to have your birds in a batch with birds from all over Scotland breaks them up and makes them think for themselves and with the bigger convoy they get a good start up the country before being split by bop .

Also Airdrie did not leave midland because of losses but a fall out with the committee or it, decision ,s .but this is not part of the discussion .

Politics are killing this sport.

But you would admit your fed had horrendous loses flying west, delegates would be mostly national minded and can't see that being a Democratic, way forward. a per club vote might work but then again fed buissness is fed buissness not national

For me Lanarkshire fed should be going on their own,if members of the fed want to go to national races then go but others should not be forced to go,biggest fed in Europe can surely stand on their own feet, and for me we should also have our own channel race

Yes would agree, federations ,are for club competitions, and nat is for extrem distance at £11 per basket if not enough increase levy or have yearly sale for fed funds the £1 levy should be used if we are caught short

Lol, if a metting is called ,clubs would have to be informed and nat buissness would be thrown out

club sec always informed to tell club delagates when meeting is and what it is about so they can talk before hand

Its no good Airdrie trying to change the fed rules again

How many of these races, need new measurement, as we have now used satellite measurement as old race sites will be not correct as midland Lancaster will differ from Lanarkshire's

Posted

Any that were not raced last year will need to be measured again. The purpose of last year's loft checks were to make things more accurate and even across the SHU. All measurements from before the loft exercise are no longer correct. :)

the 1st measurement they gave us last year was 1 and 1/2 mile out lol

The guys that voted this in won't even go to this programme now with no national duplication. Common sense must prevail

John you're spot on'. If they are national minded that's where there birds will go not with the fed', if this programme stands also consider this for anyone who wants to have a go with both fed and Nat

June 3rd fed Leicester - Nat Buckingham

June 10th fed Buckingham

June 17 fed Leyland - Nat Bedhampton

June 24 fed Littlehampton

That's four races in three weeks all over 300mls plus two others, not many lofts will handle this and keep doos for the channel races still to come ( from memory think I've got this right ) agree some common sense needs to be applied
