But best race we have had so far as birds had to do the work . Amazed at my late breds have not had a lot of training and they just keep plodding on .
walterboswell59 Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 well its been like pulling teeth for me today but have 50 from 54 sent now but the old birds that needed the race made hard work of it jim had a great race with only 4 to come at checking and ive seen another one or two drop to him from 30 odd sent but thats doo racing

andy Burgess Posted May 14, 2016 Author Report Posted May 14, 2016 out with the dogs this evening , across the fields , still the odd 1 or 2 making there way home. still a latebred to come here , lost 1 last week , but his nest mate was 3rd to the loft ?? will hopefully be here in the morning ?
ALF Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 We had 38/45 at 6pm not been at the loft since but funnily enough we had 27 in the 1st hour and 32 90mins after our timer but only 6 in the next 4 hours or so

Amazed at my late breds have not had a lot of training and they just keep plodding on .Just got my grizzle hen who flew clermont on shift last year and has been hit for 4th time not too serious but missin 2 tail feathers and a snapped flight so may or may not get to gold cup .

dal2 Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Think it's 5 inOnly exeptional birds with moult to the 5th and win. .......so I would let it race and put it bye for next year when I thought it had done enough. Only my opinion many will disagree
