BIGPETE Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 So a yearling cock got killed a few days back around the loft. I didn't see what did it so it could have been cat or BOP. But now we can be sure what it was... Had the yb's out today, *expletive removed* BOP came and pinnned a YB down not more then 12ft from where i was standing. I shot the *expletive removed* and it let go of the youngster, but he was in a real mess, lots of blood. BOP flew round a few times after and returned an hour later so no doubt after visiting me twice in less then 7 days he thinks my garden is a food source. Very bad times. All my yb team were scared shitless and darted all over the place, under loft, neighbours gardens etc. Sickening

Walter swanston Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Catch it in Larsen trap and re-locate it, that ain't breaking the law.
frank-123 Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Saw two peregrines today when I was out on my bike on route to Muirkirk. One with jesses looks like a pair hunting low.
REDROCKET Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Unfortunily there every where now probably more bop's than cats these days but you might have solved your problem if you got a direct hit with your water pistol they hate jets of water.

peter pandy Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Larsen trap . Waste of money Pete You obiously dont know how to use them mate because they are used by the professional and even a person as stupid as me have used them very successfully. So perhaps you would like to quantify your remark.
peter pandy Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Perhaps I should add that if investigated they are the perfect excuse as you are attempting to rid your property of corvids by catching and releasing them elsewhere which is perfectly legal.
