peter pandy Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 The SNFC AGM'S should in my opinion be on a rotating system North, South, East and West although I don't necessary agree with a section with a handful of members having it in their back yard.
ALF Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 aye and I would take you to my local for a few pints alandon't think you would be heading home till the next day though lol lol :emoticon-0167-beer:

cemetary Posted September 28, 2013 Author Report Posted September 28, 2013 DISNAE MATTER WHERE IT IS IT WOULD STILL BE THE SAME PEOPLE THAT MAKE AN EFFORT TO GO EVERY YEAR A LOT OF NEW FACES AT IT THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF THE VOTE ON CHANGING SECTIONS Now your talking a lot owe Shete, give the guys a chance of a more central area, and listen to there views.
ALF Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 Now your talking a lot owe Shete, give the guys a chance of a more central area, and listen to there views. DOUGIE IT'S THE SAME GUYS FAE YOUR AREA I SEE EVERY YEAR AT THE MEETING AND IF IT WAS MOVED ELSEWHERE IT WOULD STILL BE THE SAME GUYS THAT I SEEN AT IT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY GUYS THAT BOTHER TO GO EVERY YEAR...
cemetary Posted September 28, 2013 Author Report Posted September 28, 2013 DOUGIE IT'S THE SAME GUYS FAE YOUR AREA I SEE EVERY YEAR AT THE MEETING AND IF IT WAS MOVED ELSEWHERE IT WOULD STILL BE THE SAME GUYS THAT I SEEN AT IT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY GUYS THAT BOTHER TO GO EVERY YEAR... Not at all, give the guys from above not to travel so far, give them the chance, have it at Dundee, see how it goes.
DJWa Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 DOUGIE IT'S THE SAME GUYS FAE YOUR AREA I SEE EVERY YEAR AT THE MEETING AND IF IT WAS MOVED ELSEWHERE IT WOULD STILL BE THE SAME GUYS THAT I SEEN AT IT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY GUYS THAT BOTHER TO GO EVERY YEAR... alan our snfc rep from Aberdeen goes down to midweek meetings and doesn't get home till well after midnightimagine the guys further north going to any midweek meetingsthen having to work the next day im afraid at some shu or snfc meetings members from up here would have to take time off workthen there is the expence I worked out train costs to the shu showit would of cost me £73 to get there so would expect the snfc meeting to cost around the same

hotrod Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 The good doc had it in his back yard last year hoping for support to his proposal ,only prob having it in certain areas is you get the majority voting thingy going , like the solway boys they want to race from the west side of France, just to suit them , the best race for returns since its inception is Ypres , but a lot don't want it because it doesn't suit them , have the AGM in some of these areas and you could have racing from the moon .expletive remove., I would say one year in fife one in Edinburgh, one in Lanark and one in Stirling . Areas it's not want you want cem but better than it is now imho

harky Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 DOUGIE IT'S THE SAME GUYS FAE YOUR AREA I SEE EVERY YEAR AT THE MEETING AND IF IT WAS MOVED ELSEWHERE IT WOULD STILL BE THE SAME GUYS THAT I SEEN AT IT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY GUYS THAT BOTHER TO GO EVERY YEAR...Right big yin challenge them awe to a fight and the winner takes the race programme, ma sons been in ring fcrom 7 years of age and a reckon he will win the right to fly in the west section for the next 40 year. pmsl
robbiedoo. Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 Now we're talking somebody with the baws to speak out Snfc is a club for the whole of Scotland and the meetings should travel round the country instead of being on the same members door steps year in year out that way you would get more of the members further afield to join in at these meeting Thankfully a fancier that is not selfish . For me the likes of Dundee would be perfect even though it is still a good 2 hour drive from where I live
Guest IB Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 No matter where the meeting was, not every member would be able to attend, and every member is entitled to vote. Time that reliance was put on motions submitted by a certain date, and voting on the Agenda items, and postal voting brought in and counted at AGM.
yeboah Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 Time all programmes submitted prior to AGM and postal vote put in place to suit all members regardless of circumstances it's called moving with the times .

As regards of the race programme it should be postal votes cause I dare say the majority of the members in the snfc are OAP,s and maybe through either health or financial reasons are unable to travel .lets stop thinking about advantages and put our dying hobbie at the fore front and do what's best for our pigeons not some s ego,s JMHO
Guest stb- Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 true rab and watch what happens if phil comes out with that crap again there will be no president or no national the west will leave in droves if he gets his way m8 or a vote of no confidence in the chairif he brings that crap back again he has no interest of the welfare of the snfc at heart and in my opinion after having no backing from his management committe and trying to push it through he should not be in the job .
JohnQuinn Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 It's the President's prerogative to choose the Venue of the meeting, i think it should stay that way. jmo.
DJWa Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 It's the President's prerogative to choose the Venue of the meeting, i think it should stay that way. jmo.and how far is that from his house john if a central point is not chosen, then have 3 or 4 venues and rotate them evey yearand stick to them , no chopping and changing to suit certain members or their agendas

Ypres 380miles tae the fechan Stuart?? Nobody I have spoken to has a problem in the south wae the short race frae Ypres. Handy for the yearlings you wish to test? Dont think secta has such a bad record from it either? Think we would like to see a return to the traditional west cos thats the route our birds are on but if thats not pos then we will have to race from whereever the popular opinion takes us. Give another 5years and we can have the meeting in a phone box at the end of the presidents street
BLACK W F Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 It's the President's prerogative to choose the Venue of the meeting, i think it should stay that way. jmo.I that's rich its good while it suits you John wonder if your opinion would be the same if it was in Aberdeen I think not selfish comes to mind
