ALF Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 I hear the SNRPC might be racing tommorrow all going well if the transporter gets down there ok and the birds get plenty time to rest...
Pigeon Thos Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 I hear the SNRPC might be racing tommorrow all going well if the transporter gets down there ok and the birds get plenty time to rest...Most sensible. Put the birds first.
geordie1234 Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 I hear the SNRPC might be racing tommorrow all going well if the transporter gets down there ok and the birds get plenty time to rest...Will the SNFC be at the race point tomorrow morning?
blue pied Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Will the SNFC be at the race point tomorrow morning?i suppose it would all depend on how fast the baskets get loaded round the marking stations and get on the road and plus if theres any roadworks etc.....
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Will the SNFC be at the race point tomorrow morning?Doesn't matter if they are or not, as there is no power to liberate pigeons a day ahead of schedule,
dal2 Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Doesn't matter if they are or not, as there is no power to liberate pigeons a day ahead of schedule,Dont leave gretna till midnightish I believe, so nae chance anyway
blaz Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_radar.html met office showing no rain up the centre to east AM with strong SSW winds all the way that will do get them up saturday
blucock Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 That is a shame as Friday looks a better day than Saturday but I think if the forecast of high temperatures and scattered showers is correct then the birds would have no problem - visibility is the key factor. Obviously heavy rain is a show-stopper as is electrical activity but some of the best races I have experienced have been with birds dodging or going through brief showers en route. Much better that 26 C wall to wall sunshine and no cloud cover - I think if not Saturday then Sunday (of course depends on what forecast you look at, best policy always to look on the day and have a good line of flight report) Best of luck all !
b.massey Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Believe NIPA also have power to bring racing forward a day! It's a good thing to have power to do it but would take a lot as basketing times/days would need to change too! Think NIPA have brought there weekend racing this week to Friday

walterboswell59 Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 21 to Maidstone and 2 away to Lerwick along with Tam and Super Novo.good luck guys with both races
lanarkshire lad Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 I canny decide how many to send, have 15 to choose from for this week, the Gold Cup next week, then Ypres and Tours the next again week. If it looks like a hold over until Monday, as has been suggested to me, i will send 4, 2xCk's and 2xHen's that are paired together, to avoid one or other abandoning ship whilst the other is away. Next week i hope to send another 4 to Alencon then 4 to Ypres and 2 to Tours the following week. If there is anything shouting at me after this round of races they might get sent to Clermont, but will bide my time with that one. Atvb to Pb members sending. What you need it a big bank book with all the races running into one an another and if you are lucky enough to win a few bob you will have to wait months before you get it ATVB to the guys having a go at theses nat races
