alec guinness Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 unfortunately yesterday we had to put our good hen "ninety not out" to sleep. she was 10 years old and had been retired to stock for the past few years and had bred us and also other fanciers and friends some really good national prize winners the best for ourselves being "mildred" 4 x SNFC open positions, she was named after my granny who had just turned 90 and entered into the "sporting challenge" in 2006 from Rennes where she finished 4th. "ninety not out" was our first bird to the loft in 9 races between 330mls and 550 mls scoring in 8 races with her highlights 8TH WEST SEC 79TH OPEN FALAISE SNFC. 520MLS 12TH WEST SEC 120TH OPEN NEWBURRY SNFC. 1ST CLUB 4TH OPEN MIDLAND FED SALISBURY. she won 4 x SNFC diplomas and 6 federation open positions during her career and also some club positions,we have some lovely children off her but both my dad and me will miss our good old hen.

Sore when you loose a good one but take the positives from her as she's done well for you and left her mark and bloodline in your loft.
