Maybe Georgie that is one of the main reason clubs resign from the Fed! Whatever ever happened to 'The benefit to the sport and fanciers? Best thing we ever did was resign from our club when we started a South Rd club. Then others became interested. Thought great, more members, more competition and money in... Soon they took over and we had to fly dog leg every week while they flew South East every week. So we resigned and flew and transported our own birds. Flew Fareham every week with the Nationals in mind. Channel racing was for Distance too. Asked other clubs to join. None did. Then lol and behold were were high up in the nationals, even winning a few. them clubs asked to join. So of course it was for the betterment of the the club and us all. Soon out voted and complaints arose regards 'Inland Distances.- What distance1 idiots. Some would fly the channel, or join a national. So again inland upto 170 miles on a stupid route every week. Some we gave up and joined the Leicester Fed. We are about 5-- 50 result wise and happy. Yes of course we get no say, and ...

I believe, that a independent body is / should be present. Otherwise nothing would change. The hierarchy would get and do as they want. What they feel fit to do, and defend their own corner. sad eh!
  3. I believe Avian Flu, the first made and delivered by the U.S.A. Where G. Bush Junior sold his oil share with Rumple and invested in Avian flu, even getting the U.s. senators to give them £8 billion. Which we bought - like many other packages at £200. 000 a throw, via Blair etc. Didn't work either. Let it lay dormant for a short spell, then came again. Bush and co quickly got the money back with huge profits! They were taken to the Helsinki Courts and find $5.000 dollars. So back to the drawing board and closed the Loup holes to be challenged and ... So with a little alteration brought out the Swine flu.
  4. Look like Lamb Chops for Xmas dinner then ... Or maybe, like 'Foot and Mouth' it will be sold regardless!

I agree Treble D. Boris the buffoon muppet let Cummings and his dad etc. set a great example of flouting the law and Nuts to the rest of us. Nicola outed one, good of her ... but others she COULDN'T enforce!!!! I think it could have have, and should have had the full weight of the law come down on the, Likewise the £30 fines. A good night out and £30 is nothing. A few more, as should have been in the first of£10.000 given, as some have now should have been done. only one for months was Jeremy Corby's brother! Rightly so, but then after, OTHERS NOTHING.

What a joke- sad ne at that! Rangers say they accept the seven-game bans handed to Jordan Jones and George Edmundson by the Scottish FA for Covid-19 related breaches. The pair attended a party after their side's 1-0 Scottish Premiership win against Kilmarnock on 1 November. Back in August, Celtic full-back Boli Bolingoli was banned for three matches, with a further two suspended, for travelling to Spain without notifying the club before returning to play against Kilmarnock without quarantining. Similarly, eight members of the Aberdeen squad were given a suspended three-game suspension for breaching lockdown rules by visiting a bar. Aberdeen and Celtic were fined £30,000 for the conduct of their respective players. Through the club, both players apologised for their actions and vowed not to repeat their mistake. Let's get real here! WHAT MISTAKE EH! they knew full well as nigh very sportsman in the world knows.
  11. Aye, most likely, but will have a good earner .. and probably will earn it! Does brother and others in family still fly pigeons.
  12. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will take on Liverpool fighter Callum Smith on December 19. The pair will face off in the United States just before Christmas with the WBA and Ring magazine world super-middleweight titles on the line. Smith, undefeated in 27 fights, said: "I've been wanting a big fight since becoming world champion,(Well now he's got it lol) so I'm pleased that during these challenging times we can deliver to the fans a fight between the very best in the division. Good luck Callum
  13. Well, pleased for Scotland, as said and why lol. But England were beaten - supposedly, but the number one rated team world wide. But still beaten.
  14. Clubs will, mostly, have a few spares for newbies and Older club members if, and when needed. All ex clubs have my clocks I left them ... but not the Beezing.
  15. Well done Scotland. I am real pleased for yer. Might be the only side we beat if playing them1 lol :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Often said How much the management and how much the bird! True in all walks of live. Some see in minutes what others won't see in a life time. Also know many good fanciers do well with same birds another fancier not so well to say the least. Have very good freiend, a national winner several times telling me 'Roly, I bought directs from in Belgium, who you know visits here, well his birds did piddly dip for me... Out side of propping up the result sheet. Well ***** **** another famed national winner, came to visit, and I told him the birds were going, not salling of course. He asked if he could try them. Offered deals etc. but I gave him them... He never looked back! J.M.O.
  18. Personally, regardless, I certainly - now, though didn't yet often thought to - believe big time now that a mask etc. is essential. many suffered and are still suffering from breathing problems.
  19. A good post. When I first started up on my own, I had some good advice. One was Buy later bred youngsters in August - October. Mainly because many fanciers were trying, or were flying Widowerhood cocks. Hence bred some for the hens etc, when mated up again. These were very often at a very good price. Another god thing I learnt was Hold them back. Maybe a toss or two next year, even a race up to 100 miles or so. these would come into their own the season after. very true. Then did as were told, sometimes when needed a round of late bred would auger well - if pair to a different mate, and these would combat losses. In the last few year losses weren't a problem though for me... More like having too many.
  20. and she's Scottish Yes our Laura Muir. Britain's Laura Muir has been nominated for this year's World Athletics Female Athlete of the Year award. Muir, 27, is the quickest in the world over 1500m this season and set a new UK 1,000m record in August. A month later the Scot ran a world-leading three minutes 57.40 seconds in Berlin over 1500m. Of the 10 nominees, Muir is the only Briton in the running for the award, which was won last year by Dalilah Muhammad of the United States. World Athlete of the Year - female nominees Femke Bol (Netherlands), Letesenbet Gidey (Ethiopia), Sifan Hassan (Netherlands), Peres Jepchirchir (Kenya), Faith Kipyegon (Kenya), Laura Muir (Great Britain), Hellen Obiri (Kenya), Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela), Elaine Thompson-Herah (Jamaica), Ababel Yeshaneh (Ethiopa) World Athlete of the Year - male nominees Donavan Brazier (USA), Joshua Cheptegei (Uganda), Timothy Cheruiyot (Kenya), Ryan Crouser (USA), Mondo Duplantis (Sweden), Jacob Kiplimo (Uganda), Noah Lyles (USA), Daniel Stahl (Sweden), Johannes Vetter (Germany), Karsten Warholm (Norway)
  21. Now, no disrespect Wiley, but them photos remind me of the Pigeon photos of the 50's - 60's etc. 'Throw back's'?
  22. Roland

    Question

We have done that. Also an average of y/b season.-- All scored even if lost later on. Both very good fun. However many moaned, wanting just to send the shortest race or such. Mostly was always the 'Longest race of say Berwick 250 miles. All went and scored back in them days. But wingers kept reducing the distances, till hard to make it worth while. Got so many just bought in for future pairings etc. Days of a fancier buying two or more back and racing became somewhat less.
  23. Contact Jim on here mate. May well know.
  24. What a photo mate. Reminds me only too well why I started and loved pigeons. Would look through the wires so very often. Them photo'd are great and make me jealous lol.
  25. Laura Muir shared Scottish Athletics performer of the year with Jemma Reekie and Jake Wightman. Reekie and Muir's coach Young won the performance coach award. And quite right too. None deserved to not be voted Top! What a trio eh! must have made Scotland proud. Well nigh all the U.K I believe.
