  1. Not a lot, that's for sure.
  2. I used very little saw dust in later years. Just a Good dep litter. One must remember that the Bloom/ dust is rife when birds in good condirion. Sometime I'd let the birds out and spray a very fine water high up all over. Setteled the dust. Especially in days of scraping out.
  3. Agree Delboy. Season in and season out the majority say 'Yes'! But will never happen I guess. The beloved take a back seat every time to Commercial and Fanciers apathy. Shouldn't be allowed to buy rings till Late February. Would do the so-called sport the world of good. BUT too many fear they would miss out and others steal a March! No pun intended.
  4. Fingers cross with hope Fifer.
  5. fed up with the callings Fifer lol.
  6. You know, we can find, for free, useful remedies and helpers with our birds. Now pay through the nose for energising drinks tabs etc. What are the made of? ALL ARE just Sugar or Coffee. Yes tinted and camouflaged, but only sugar or Coffee! The Belgium's when the basket in the morning for a race giove the bird a coffee bean. Some ground and mix with Sugar and put down their mouths even with a Turkey blaster. Knew a very god and consistent flyer that swore by a 'Turkey Blaster'! No just the thin end goes in the mouth. Me! I was only interest in a aid to a natural immune system.
  7. Yes, can use what you throw awayfor the birds. When making jams, I kept the juices not used and froze them A cube in the drinkers etc. Could be upto 12 different fruits / berries etc in one cube. Also would strain into bottles for the kids and family. Full of every goodness.
  8. The site needs a few heated arguments and scrapes I guess. Post up your name if you want a fight lol. Or post a name you want to fight with! Or a name you want others to fight with. Like chickens in a farm yard scrapping about ... it draws others to them lol

  12. Afternoon lunch now. enjoy your sandwiches
  13. You know, at day's end we are the ones deciding whether we send or not. Yes of course we want to go. To race, and many adages are spouted for a reason why. However after on Thursday, then before Basketing , look again at the weatherv outside, and the forecats. Go and look in the mirror and decide whether too or not. Or just a couple of old expeirenced ones to go. J.M.O. But then averages etc. are wieghed up eh!
  14. Well there we go Jim. Many idiots - out of their'minds - were, and are very good and successful Pigeon fanciers.
  15. Muir and reekie eh! Great to watch and yell at the screen. I think that if Muir had some one to push her in the last 500 yards another couple of seconds would have come off the time. Reekie is coming to maturity. No two ways about that! Reminds me of that great Scot pair of Stewart and McCafferty from the 70's. 5000m, Commonwealth Games 1970 and much more. Who, and where is Kip Kieno :emoticon-0136-giggle: Well done, and more to come I believe / hope.
  16. How? Sorry to hear regards your' Dal. A real gutter for you. saying 'That's pigeon racing' matters not a jot. Words - unbelieveably -- fail me mate.
  17. Buy her a pair of boots for Chrismas. then mate her to a parrot. The youngster if lost could ask their way home. Mind, seriously, could yet have good race in her...
  18. I feel you are on the right track Ryan. rest and creating a love of home. Contentment is the first C. or a successful loft. Patience is a C. but serves well. Good luck Ryan.
  19. True Walter, One that most won't accept is 'Deep rooted canker'. Remember Frank dooman emailing me in this regards after I posted as such. He 100% agreed with me and gave me some more names, 'Names' and very well known who told him the same. Any canker treatment, regardless how well the bird may look, perform, shopuld never be used more twice. tyhree times tosp! Because it quickly gets immuned to it. Only 33 different types. in reality, the truth may well also help in that a little canke is good for a bird. It defences its homes and destroys any intruders etc. only one cure, as i often stated, for depep rooted canker. Past has taught me well in this regards. I know, before mating Treat for Canker. others every two weeks or after a race / basket event.
  20. Been trying Walter. i have a way of knowing much in regards this Virus, and what is what. Which is, 'When parliments are fulll again, it might be safe to walk out'! Fact is, although ordered to attend by Moss etc. they refuse to mix. 10 or even 15 members out of 650 tells me something Walter. They know more tan I do. Like it is said, conversing by the internet etc. isn't the same as being their and being heard!
  21. Pleased for your' season mate. Yes by all means sale a few off. Personally though I would keep a few myself - especially id Y/B season isn't too kind to you. They often make great distance birds if just left to laz about first year and part next year. Maybe an of chuck in good weather in December. Not far though. Then a couple of 100 - 150 milers next season. year after, fresh birds will fly the distance well. J.M.O and expeirence.
  22. Scotland's first minister Nicola Sturgeon demanded the cancellation after Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli flew to Spain, failed to quarantine, then played in a match. Ms Sturgeon said this was a "flagrant breach" of the guidelines, while Celtic manager Neil Lennon described himself as "livid" after the "incredibly selfish" player went "rogue". Well done gal. Buffoon Boris is shown up... he should have done the same. Cummings and his dad ... Still I'll shut! The previous weekend, eight Aberdeen players broke lockdown regulations by visiting a bar together. So much for the adage 'Adults know how to behave and should be left to their own devices eh!
  23. False number given daily. Not least deaths. Took weeks for the Death tool to take over a 1000 or two. When upto and800 a day. Real figures would send the country into a a state of panic.
  24. good post delboy. Many a good fanciers has told me . Before training / racing one has to get them Mentally fit too. Their heads in the right place.
  25. Vaccine would mean 2-3 years of waiting for after effects
