Most fanciers eithet hold the hen over a pan with boiling water in it, the heat brings on the laying. other way is to put oil (any kind of cooking oil) into a syringe, push the syringe into the hens vent until you feel it touching the egg inside and inject the oil in. best syringe for it is the pmv ones. oil is most successful method. jmo. have had hens die with this and had some that have survived.

Just away fae Higgy's picking up 2 Theelens he had a loan of. The birds off Watty and those bred fae them are sparkling. Ave been in Watty's loft and the quality he has given/sold Joe are only matched by his own. Anyone looking for distance blood will take these in a heart beat. Also has a cracking team of yearlings that have raced the program as Yb's and they look terrific, ready to pair break and race. If a had a spare perch it would get filled by these and if I had a spare section I wid have the lot coz there must be winners amongst them

A canny even imagine how difficult this will be for yer parents Jim and I wish them well over the coming weeks and months, will also gladly support any initiative to help them out if they need it.

I never mentioned Risks Robert, I said improve security and any new way tae identify each bird and be Certain it Went to the race with the rest must be an improvement.... But yer right, cheaters would find a way tae cheat regardless. But cheatin isn't a concern ave got, ma concern is that for timing in you're gonna get "taxed" for it, or worse yer gonna get disqualified for no doing it. A would be very interested on how we could defend ourselfs in court if somebody took us tae task for being disqualified with an entirely legal time in........instinctively a think we'd lose the case, and lots of £££££ into the bargain.

Ave got no issue with prices and as you point out the members have voted these prices in over the years, well them that turn up tae the meetin set it, but if the quality is poor again this year we( the members) have to insist they go back to the original supplier regardless of cost. Pricing of life rings is imo about the fairest way tae share the financial burden across the membership and IMO should Not be altered.

A can see how a wing stamp would improve security Peter, and a would support it wholeheartedly, but unless they provide a free service tae record the doos arrival and security number then IMO it amounts to a financial Penalty for timing in and any additional costs tae members must be applied tae all members not just a section of us who are lucky enough to get a decent wan in the clock. Should point out that a Decent wan is very much a strager in my Clock lately so its unlikely to affect me that much but I like Fairness and this is Not fair tae some members. jmo

I see there is a proposal in to Force fanciers to phone in their first doo, hope they're gonna provide a FREE phone number for the members as well.

Said it before and al say it again, the Mac's are the best doomen in Britain and probably Europe. Though they've most probably got the best doos as well it canny be proven, to establish the best sprint pigeons the birds would need to be given to a Top fancier to race to the same location. Don't mean wan or two doos, I mean 20 or 30 of each family entered all racing against each other and performances recorded. jmo.

We thought it was a great service and a good income from the birdage Jim but the members never used it. No particular day or lib site improved interest in it so with it losing cash last season the only option was to do away with it as agreed at the AGM.

A dare say they'll wander like everythin else Stevie but m surprised it's found enough room tae stay up here coz there's multitudes of them about.
