  3. Ma Yb's have to go to 5 races, no fussed what one's but I send tae every race. For 5 years runnin aw Ma yearlings went tae an SNFC Inland race or the Fed coast race if it wisnae an SNFC race. Every year I wid look tae see what I had for the nationals and a wiz lucky tae have a dozen tae cover the full program. So last year I raced Ma yearlings tae the yearling Derby and stopped them, except the Blue hen way the ETS ring who went tae a national. (Re used ETS ring !! ) and the strawberry mealy Ck who went tae the coast tae. The Doos am left way are all well bred for the job, it's a disgrace the results ave been gettin when ye look at the Doos ace got, but as I say they're bred for the job and while ave no hammered them ave no mollycoddled them either. They'll get 3 races @ 180 250 & the first imland national or fed equivalent, then it's gold cup for what's still here. All my older pigeons have crossed the channel bar one hen who's been hawked the last 2 years. That's Ma tank.

  8. Gonna struggle tae race on Sat 19th April coz it's a TUESDAY !! ....,Dates are all wrong.
  9. Fork'andles lmao RIP.
  10. Personally I believe the number of Fanciers competing lends more credit to the winners, not necessarily the number of birds. Ave sent birds because they needed a race or time on the wing knowing fine well they wouldn't trouble the judge on the Saturday and am certain everybody will have done this. Only real reflection on birgade IMO is National racing because a higher percentage of the convoy are in it tae win it.
  11. Nail on the head. They have to be fit to Train which isn't the same as fit to Race. 1. Get them flying for an hour at home. 2. Train them until they Race home from the toss. 3. Race them. 4. Nae shortcuts it'll only cost ye in lost pigeons before the season starts.
  12. CONGRATULATIONS........Neither Mary nor Yersel could have chosen a better partner to spend their life with, may you both see your Diamond anniversary in good health and happiness. :emoticon-0137-clapping:
  13. Old Faithful is irreplaceable Derek but the ergonomically designed handle makes it very comfortable in the hand, just like a ladies glutius maximus if ye know what a mean 😃 :emoticon-0136-giggle:

  22. My Fav (feeding Yb) and the last pic are 2 sisters out of a gift Bruggerman Hen fae Davie Jamieson when paired to a direct Moleveld Ck a bought fae Brian (Sapper) when he sold up. Very very impressed with the Yb's these 2 are breeding. Have 3 yearlings out the same pair in my team as well so they're no throwing rubbish. Odd man out is Red Pied Ck out of a Red Ck exchanged fae Derek crossed with a blue pied hen Brian gave me back when he was finishing up. Must be faster than Percy given his colour lolol
  23. 2nd from the bottom on post #2 who as you see is feeding a big Yb is my No. 1 fancy, she's a wee beauty of a hen, very small but everything's there.
  24. This is one of my 2 Favs
