Agree with ye Davie I would put a lot more dressing in the crates, as ye say that's why we got our own design.

Each to our own , IMO the birds have better access to water on the Geraldy and that's more important than an inch of shavings tae rest on.....Also no matter what transport is used ferrying of pigeons to the actual Race transporter will always need to be done so one transporter has Never been enough to do all the pick ups.

There was a Good full sized Geraldy on offer from one of the Welsh organisations for about £6k. 6,000brds capacity and modern feeding/watering system in place. We don't need tae pay out fortunes for new transporters and we would have the freedom to move marking/Racing to suit when the weather forecasts tell us there is NO CHANCE of a race on the intended date. It s the self reliance we need moving forward.

    Ypres

The whole of England on a line to Ypres is dry with sunny spells tomorrow, so unless the racepoint is bad I reckon they'll be up first thing. Winds are also lighter en route than today giving hope of a True race and no the Lottery again.

5 away.....4 blue hens (2x2yr old 2xyrlgs) and a yrlg Red Ck who slept out at Billericay. Here's hoping we get a true race with max returns. Good luck all.
  15. Well done Andrew, cracking hen who wins sprint to distance, few and far between those kind ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Sending between 3&6, still to make final decision on my yearlings going or not.
  17. Would just like to extend my Sincerest Condolences to you Fifer, also to you Brian and all the family for your sad loss. RIP
  18. Super performance from the Sec G winner ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘.....but this thread is titled West Sec winner. Start a thread for Section G it's well worth its own space not stuck in beside other unrelated posts.
  19. Result is up on the SNFC website.

We were the same last year, all new measurements by GPS replacing a pin on a map !!....Even at 6.47 I would expect the Krikpatrick doo will win. Other bird would need to be doing around 1220ypm to catch it and I suspect the velocity will be about 1050'ish.

The Kirkpatrick doo will win, assuming the 569 & 577 are their flying distance.
  22. Good Andrew that's what should happen at every club. With the vote being 12-4 that means some delegates didn't even attend the meeting to vote :emoticon-0179-headbang:
  23. Top man Jim Hannah and superb fancier with some of the best distance birds in the country. IMO if anyone through here is gonna win the Gold Cup it'll be Jim. Winning a Gold award into Lanarkshire these days is virtually impossible so a Huge well done to man and bird ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  24. Don't burn yer bridges Derek ye never know when ye'll need a lift aff us.
  25. A guarantee ye that less than 25% of delegates came without the meeting Alan. I know you guys always do it properly, only wish the rest would follow suit.
