  1. The guy askin the question was mocking the thread with it. Davie was polite saying he as being silly, it was Idiotic no silly. Nobody in their right mind would send Ybs first time in a basket with a Fed 50mls away. Nuts a might be but feckin stupid am no.
  2. That feckin question and you say now yer talking !! What kinda question is that and how the F does a man like you say now yer talking??
  3. You're as bad as him !!
  4. You aught to get yerself away fae they sorts it's affecting ye.
  5. Don't make me Laugh...is a clear indicator you don't believe what's being said so yer sayin men are dishonest. Here's some Honest, this is what sending yer Doos training does.
  6. Sorry Tam it seems ok for some but others canny get it....... The link is about the hen I got in Reims, it was only the 5th race of her life. 2014 latebred untrained/Raced. 2 races as a yearling Thirsk and Otterburn. 3 races this year, Wetherby Kettering and Reims. One toss fae Gala the Saturday before Reims because our comeback race was cancelled fae Thirsk or she would never have been trained. So why feed Doos tae Percy when it's no needed is my point.
  7. Took this pic 2 mins ago. Stray on my roof that has most likely been tossed. How the F is that any use tae that poor thing ??
  8. When a look at my Ybs I am thinking how to best get them to the end of next Ob season intact. Like everyone else I have trained Doos every year and lost birds I had hoped would do well in the race basket. Am of the opinion now that training is detremental to Ybs and Ob's so have stopped feeding the Hawks midweek. My percentage of losses from this Yb team will neither be above or below average losses at this time next year after the yrlg stage. Everything has changed around us as far as hazards are concerned but fanciers being fanciers carry on regardless and moan about Predicted!! Losses. I chose to change my ways to see if my situation improves any. It may not help but I am convinced it won't hinder the best of what I have.
  9. If ye weren't being sarcastic my apology but you misquote me and where I come from 'would be interested' is a p**s take. I never said train them to break without training, I said if Doos are conditioned/trained properly by those who do train then my or any untrained birds will not hold them back. If yer Doos Are held back by mine they're no trained properly and will hang about with my rubbish. But these fanciers try to put the blame of their own inadequacies as fanciers at others ppls door. When they don't win its Ma fault coz mine aren't trained. I started this thread because of the amount of birds already lost by fanciers who are barely 20mls from their loft for a training toss. O/B's and Yb alike. Now I would like tae know fae serial trainers and losers of pigeons unnecessarily why Feeding Percy 4/5 times a week instead of once is of benefit to their birds or the sport for that matter.......Just Tae win a poxy 60mls race that's most likely got a first prize of about a £5'er.
  10. You've came onto the thread Headbanging because YOUR 'trained' Ybs are being kept back by my Untrained Ybs. If ye train yours right mine or anyone else's won't hold them back.
  11. Repetition !!!
  12. The best pigeon men condition their birds to break for home regardless of others circling the racepoint. Doubt you're no in that category. If ye insist on training train them right
  13. In Yb racing I would agree they aren't going to be winning 1st prizes but from then on they'll win against anything if motivated and fit. More racing less training, feed them correctly and pick your target race. This is not a method for winning averages over the 1st half of the season but get them right and you won't be long making up the lost time in the 2nd half of the year.

  16. Aye when the 2 parties start from a position of righteousness and indignity it disnae leave much room for progress.
  17. Was talking tae the ppl that have a burger van I use regularly about the Doos. Guy next to me chipped in that he was my Enemy coz he's a falconer. Told him nothing could be farther from the truth that it's the wild population of them that was the problem no those used for a hobby. He piped up that a pair were killed in Motherwell and it was clear he didnae like it. Informed him that if there weren't so many there would be no need for disposing of them. At the agree to differ point a told him there would be a LOT more done in if the numbers aren't controlled, then I went for Ma lunch. The conversation highlighted 2 things..... 1. We aren't gettin our message across if falconers think we're their enemies. 2. They still think we keep Worthless flying Rats and are out tae kill every peregrine in the place. Somehow or another if we want change we need tae find common ground as a starting point and we are a Million miles apart just now despite all our protestations. !!!

Well a 0/2 returns was not what I expected but I have No complaints. It was a hard but fair (as fair as it can be) race and my entries were found wanting. Don't remember ever sending a bird in better condition or as well prepared as the Red Ck I entered but I never got him. Timed in every race entered this season so I am disappointed to fail in the last race of the season but what's left it the loft gives me optimism for next year. Well done to the timers, especially the Morris Bros in Sec F, who if sittin 50mls east would IMO be winning nationals out of turn. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Brilliant Davie well done mate. Well done Vinny ye must be delighted ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  20. If we marked yesterday the Doos couldn't have made the race point in time to liberate this morning, noo you're moaning coz nobody is moaning, so yer Strange right enough !!
  21. Would go as far as to say it's probably the Only wind direction west central birds have of taking 1st Open. Jmo.
  22. Distance time in the wing or motivation should not be an issue for National entries, if it is they shouldn't be there. 1976 Jock Poole got the wind he craved from Rennes and won 1st Open, the wind was N/W so IMO ave a chance of repeating it.
  23. Light N/W all the way gives every doo in the convoy a chance of that elusive 1st Open ðŸ†ðŸ†ðŸ† Best of Luck and good returns to All.
  24. Was just gonna ask the same question Andy, nothing on the SNFC Website about it. 🙃
