Am inclined to agree with Trevor, if ye phone them and explain they will sort ye out with a hen. Ps. At 3 yrs old it might be desperate to pair up due to the recent warm spell, so has just paired to one of your hens who was likewise minded!! Just a thought.

Welcome to the site Bobo, look forward to reading your posts.

Well done Coatbridge members That's a great number Danny. Ps. Naebody is guaranteed a place in either the truck or trailer, but the doos are guaranteed tae get treated equally well regardless
-
Most hens have laid out and the others are looking ripe, no Yb's as yet but should get a good number away together when the time to wean comes round as most who have laid did so within 2/3 days of each other. The racers i let pick their own mates but i'll no be doing it again as they're slow settling and even slower laying. They were ear marked to rear some from the Stock loft too, but i'll be lucky to catch 6 of the 12 planned

Aye Rab.and with a new 12 month contract signed he'll over take Maldini in the all time list by the end of next season, some going and well deserved imo.
-
Well we never got to see this land mark in his career today, but as my MISSUS!!! said "who would you want your 1,000'th game against, no disrespect to Norwich, but i would want it to be against Real Madrid" i think she's got a valid point, what do you's think your selves??

I removed 5 posts from this thread Billy, they were off topic and developing into a slagging match, NEITHER of which are acceptable at any time on this site. We like to think we can conduct ourselves in a fit and proper manner on PB, we also know that this is not ALWAYS the case but less is best in either scenario. Posts are not removed lightly and members have a right to post frustrations and or a different point of view from other members as often happens but the posts i removed, including your own, were nothing to do with the thread topic which is Members hopes/expectations for the coming season. Hope this clarifies things for you. atb John.

I removed the OFF TOPIC posts to allow the thread to continue with what it was posted up for. John.

Aye basically i am Derek, btw don't geez the "if a could afford it" line, everybody knows yer a miilionaire

Winning pigeons need Very little recovery time, late comers may be different but your winner one week will be the late comer from the week before, especially with Yb's. So IMO, good food, a well ventilated loft and peace to rest is sufficient for them to recover from week to week in the shorter races and fortnightly for the longer races.

I'm hoping to make the Fed Open Race results, the nearer the top the better On top of that i would like to win a Social Circle race from the Channel and score in the Nationals that i enter. Pretty much the same every year to be honest, problem is, it's jist no happening often enough!! but i got ma self a good Mirror so maybe this year will bear fruit
-
You've got too much time on yer hands Rab.
-
Good on ye Kirky, canny wait tae see it.

I can't fathom out intelligent human beings who think heaters in a loft are a good idea, maybe i'm totally wrong BUT.....................

Lot...5 £80 Done Thanks

HUGE well done to the Low Waters members, making such a large donation at a time when your own club hut needs money spent on it. great great effort
-
Willie Wilson the Legend from Larkhall was the first i ever heard about using an incubator. When sending his birds to the distance races he kept their eggs in it, protecting the progeny of his winners.
-
Yes a big well done to the Larkhall members, and the rest of the clubs who are buying crates or making a financial contribution to the Fed. Shows a great deal of solidarity within the Fed at a time when its most needed, well done again to one and all When the final numbers come in Every club will get due recognition for their excellent efforts.

What ye never seen was me sitting up in bed watching out the window drinking the cuppa Coffee she brought up before she went out Its all in the conditioning, no an easy thing but if yer consistent you'll get there

It is a Dream of mine that Scotland unites, an Amalgamation may be the first step in that process so i would support it. Even though when it was last in existence the then officials fell out before the final Yb race and Quinn Bros won it by a distance, not so much as a snide trophy exists for what was a gallant effort by a wee natural Jan Aarden Hen doing 992 ypm to the perch. For those interested Gulkie ( Billy Gilchrist) finished 2nd on 956 ypm and Quinn Bros were 3rd with a Mealy Pd Ck of Andrew Deans breeding on 954 ypm. There i've stated ma case
-
Have never used a hopper but i spotted one i liked at Blackpool so will make one to be using when the breeding is under way.

It'll be great to see you all there and hope to get time for a natter too. Really looking forward to hearing Chris talk pigeons and what types of questions those present put to him, promises to be a Great night out and an informative one too.
