I do believe i stood up and Clarified 1 or 2 points that the members either didn't hear or were unsure of, so as for disruption, you couldn't be farther from the truth as far as i am concerned. I already had the same discussions with Phil on Monday night as did other committee members so come the meeting i was Obliged to put my own and that of my fellow committee members views forward on this subject, not excluding the members from my area who's views i was presenting. I have no axe to grind with Phil but i couldn't disagree with him MORE on this subject . Also i wasn't Strategically seated to cause disruption as you have suggested, in case you never noticed i was "working" at the door and took the first seat that caught my eye when the meeting started. Also imo, the lack of volunteers to take up committee seats reflects the lack of confidence in the chair too.

Pass on my regards Brian, i hope he picks up sharpish.

Well Peter, I do believe you and Ian share the MINORITY view on this subject and Like Phil you's should accept it and move on

Cheers Andy. i will no doubt be able to tell you how i got on with it. Cheers John.

That's ma whole point Davy, the Committee told Phil that their members had no appetite for this but he went ahead anyway, that's wrong to me and anyone other wise minded is entitled to their point but the Committee told him this was a divisive issue with no support and he didnae listen, that's my worry for the future, nothing else cos Phil is a GOOD man and as much as i disagreed with him he WAS entitled to his opinion but when a whole committee are telling you your wrong(the vote bore this out) then he should be listening to the committee and should have withdrawn his proposal.

He might need a WEE bit of luck but i reckon he has the beating of Djokovic, C'mon the Jock

I get it almost Every year but the Damp conditions in 2012 seemed to make it harder to get rid of, so i'll maybe give your stuff goto see the results.

Aye Peter ALL members are entitled to put any proposal forward BUT the President is no ORDINARY member and as such should keep away from controversy and should LISTEN to the men that the members have elected to represent their feelings, Phil dfidnae listen. Asm for me "spouting", I'm a member too and am entitled to say what i wish at any meeeting ESPECIALLY matters that have opreviously been disciussed between 15 good men Elected to pass on the feelings/idea's of their particular area and that is what i !SPOUTED" as you put it.

Aye sounds good Andy, maybe give it a go this season to see if the doo retains its eye colouring cos the Aureomycin defo washes some of the colour out of the Iris.
-
that's a great price Andy, does it clear it in one go or do you have to repeat for a few days?
-
I respect your view Davy but such was the opposition to this particular issue within the committee it should never have been proposed, the Vote bears me out on this one.

Looks like the cold snap has passed so i will be pairing the stock and feeders up this week. The Racers i'm gonna mess about training and racing for a while, before pairing them up come May/June time IF at all.

Here Here, too true.

I tried the Golden eye drops a couple of years ago without success Pompy so went and got Aureomycin (spelling?) from the vet and a tiny pinch put straight into the eye cures it over night. However regardless of what you use to clear it up, the infected eye will lose some Depth of Colour compared to its original appearance.

Absolutely Steven yes, i do think that at least the Majority of the committee MUST support the proposal or it should not be brought to the meeting. Democracy is all about the Majorities and if ye find yerself in the Minority ye should accept it with good grace and move on but Phil was totally determined to bring that proposal today regardless of all our representations to him about the Negative affect it would have on the club if carried, that's what worries me.

And while ye were doing awe the chasing where was yer Slung Cem???

Well i know how difficult it is to keep track of who said what and who is actually proposing something, losing track of the meeting is down to poor minuting not bad memory and it can happen at any meeting. Anyone there knows i vehemently disagreed with the region changes and Phil new this before the meeting, prompting his opening remark that the proposal was down to him alone and had NO support from his committee. The fact that this did not dissuade him from putting the proposal up for discussion is IMO the biggest concern for the future of the club. I was reminded the other day that if ANY committee member had Voted AGAINST the rest of the committee's proposal/wishes, that member was hauled up to explain himself to the rest of the committee and if his explanation was unsatisfactory he would either be removed from the committee or given a severe sanction regards his future on it. The GOOD OLD DAYS were perhaps better than the present days and IMO the aforementioned course of events of the workings within the committee should still apply today. On a CHEERY note, thank the heavens the proposal was defeated, IF!! the proposal does in fact get brought back to the table for the next AGM that would then be time to call into question the suitability of the President to carry on. Like him i am not frightened to be in a minority but when the Members make their wishes known in the fashion they did today the man at the top HAS to listen and if not HAS to be removed. JM(STRONG)O!!

Should have said at the Top of the page that the Entertainer/Comedian is SANDY STRANG from Paisley. I heard him a few years back and he was totally brilliant

Personally i have no gripe about who sponsors the technology, as long as its within financial reach of any one who wants to participate then i see no reason why not. Mind you it could maybe be something that if it took off could catch the interest of BIG gamblers and that would bring corruption so a tight lid would have to be kept on the amounts gambled. jmo.

That's the game, get the orders in and make it a great night.

Now need numbers for the Presentation night on 8th Feb to give the Club an idea of how many are attending. If you intend going now is the time more than ever before to support YOUR Fed and order your tickets. Either from me or Jim Cameron who's number is 01698 323008. You won't be disappointed!!
