Sorry I should have said I sent 2 cocks ,

At beginning of season I had 12 earmarked for this 4 cocks 8 hens , lost 1 cock and 1 hen ,I have 7 hens injured or were injured and missed prep thankfully I got 2 there .

I dinna think fowk have lost interest its just so hard getting a distance doo in yer shed for the job ,hawks, weather ,unexpected disasters ,i joined SNFC this year i had 4 i thought would get me there 2x5yr olds 1x3 yr old and a 2 yr old I sent them to a race with 3 yearlings bad day for me got 3yearlings and never saw a feather of the older ones so that was it buggered so thats my experience.

100% returns both so thats not the case for the South Peter

We personally had poor returns from both in lands. For some reason a lot of old birds being lost too easy this year and don't forget last year wiped most out so the numbers bring down will be partly to both this and last year's returns. I hope we have a great return from the gold cup as another like last year is not thinkable, all the best to all who entered

Aye I know Steve and I am only recording the feeling of personal views from fanciers who have been decimated in North Lanarkshire at Wishaw. The largest bulk of entry sheets had only the single entry.

Good luck to everyone,I have 100% returns from the inland nationals the problem I have it takes another type of pigeon to race from around 547 miles and at the present time we simply don’t have them.No pointsending plodders is racing pigeons we want not Homers .ðŸ‘

Very suprised to hear you never sent all those Andrew Dean's and Cullen old stock and you can't muster a doo for the gold cup or you done away with them for those fast wing beat doos??

Frank still have theses lines and one of them is going for her Silver Award but with the predicted small numbers now verified (1072 ) she will be going to Ypres .Its been so difficult over the last 3/4 years to build a team of them for obvious reasons along with the time spent its no longer worth the time and energy.

I understand what you are saying but you know the feeling more than most of getting a doo from the gold cup race nothing beats it. Hopefully it's a decent hard race and not a disaster like the last few years. Maybe see you back at it next year. All the best going for your award in Ypres.

I've said on here for the last few years that the gold cup should be made easier....ridiculed usually lol......but seriously think it needs a look at
