You know folks cheques are almost very seldom seen nowadays and I wasn't aware that giro payments still existed . Come on now SNFC get with the times ..SHU as well postal orders ? When does payment online start I mean the rest of the world have been using online payments for years...

You can now download a form from the SNFC website and pay by bank transfer

Nothing much more up to date than a bank transfer........paypal.....thats what's required

Paypal is possibly the best system to adopt. The fancy does need to modernise, so Sandy has a great point.

Let alone use it ,plus they don't have the Internet .

I was thinking the same myself, most of the main National organisations still use cheques for payment method at their marking stations

You don't have to stop using the old methods, just add in the new methods.

It would make life a lot more easier, especially for those of us who work and are usually running at the last minute trying to get things sorted.

Down south I know guys go online the night before or week before and book their pigeons in and pay for them all online....would actually be easier for the national to plan ahead..ie baskets and transport etc

Aye George the Midland Nat members have to pay birdage and pools 7 days before basketing and their is no money returned if for any reason you are unable to send. Worst system ever devised..

Pay pal reader chip and pin £75.. connects via the phone. Fanciers bring the pool sheet along pay the bill by bank card and the 2.75% charge and thats it straight into the SNFC paypal account.

chip and pin would solve it and only getting 15 birds on a sheet is mental had to fill out six sheets between fed and national can only get 12 on our fed sheets should be able to get at least 20 on each sheet fed and national think it will be 15 max from now on rant over good luck guys

Never mind the mind touting the Modern way ... Many older persons should still have the option of paying cash! Simple reality. Does the SNFC have people running their nationals that they can't trust them with a few quid!!!!

The 'Cashier' could have a form for the purpose and log the cash, of his card / etc. for them.

 

The older stalwarts have done more than their share for our so called sport and deserve the respect and curtesy of being able to have peace and ease of mind. They've earned it!!!

No skin, or time loss for the SNFC to make things easier and more simple. Too many have their heads in the clouds ... up up their; place where the sun don't shine.

Arrogance of trying, and a Flipping cheek trying to drag honest folks in to places not they are not familiar with, nor want! For what! Let them stay where they may feel uncomfortable. They will be gone soon enough mores the pity.

 

I'll tell you what, I'd be more than happy, and full of trust, in letting me have their cash and writing out a cheque or card on their behalf! OR whatever!
