at 18.10 21/04/2017

Although it was expected soon it is still a shock when it happens

George was a true gentleman and a friend to all

Fond memorises of George

Many years ago received the RP by post and the editor

was a greyhound man and his dog called Charlie chequer was

running that Friday night when we were marking for a race

he stated that his dog would be hard to beat

Said to George want to put £20 on a dog called Charlie Chequer

but did not know how to place a bet

Off George went to the bookies with a few quid including mine and CC won we had a

night to remember but very sore heads the next morning

The memorises will live

When George had to give up the sport He gave me some of his birds and a wee loft which he would take nothing for.

A true gentleman of the sport.

I have one of his birds racing today with Ayrshire.I will think fondly of George when it returns
