I could be wrong on that.

ovy1255 Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 If you are buying for daughter stay away from diesel ---too expensive to repair when they go wrong, corsa,s have chain drive on small engine instead of T Belt these are known fault and a bit pricey to fix.ford ka are rot boxes,so what do you buy?well insurance dictates that a small car is preferable.dont go too oldcitroen c1,c2 or c3--petrol enginefiat punto --8 valve engine--get front subframe checked for corrosionpeugeot 206 --petrol engine--get back axle checked--wheels lean and rear suspension sieze.toyota is good to.there are loads of tin boxes out there for sale---a full mot only means it passes the minimum requirements to go on the road.if there is nothing to hide tell the seller you will give him a tenner for fuel and ask them to take it to your mechanic for inspection if they wont walk away.hope this helps.

REDROCKET Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 I bought my daughter a fiat pinto 57 plate from central Car auctions for £975 2 yr ago they were selling on the fore courts for around £1700 at the time I spent £150 getting it mot d she was delighted with it and only around£400 to insure .Ps got my money back after a year
ovy1255 Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 Nip down scrap yard and get two wheel rims and have two winter tyres fitted ---they do work if we get snow but compound wears quicker on tarmac than normal tyre and tyre noise is louder with winter ones.
