bullcock Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 Cheers lads , a very hard race, we are absolutely certain we had our birds right, and you start to doubt youself, no disrespect to all the great birds timed, but where are all the birds?

Well done you two. Whenever there is thunder in the air pigeons react differently. Some handle it better than others.

bullcock Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 No I took cold feet when I saw the forecast.Wise man, but it's the gold cup we had the birds ready and wouldn't miss it for the world.
geordie1234 Posted June 25, 2016 Author Report Posted June 25, 2016 Left the loft around half 7 to go and get pisse.d lol sent my best 6 and not a feather yet....need to regroup and try again next year...well done to all the timers...every single pigeon timed has worked their *expletive removed* off
Novice Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 Wise man, but it's the gold cup we had the birds ready and wouldn't miss it for the world. Wee Paddy also said something very relevant concerning now flying 582 miles for the gold cup when in the past it was 540.I'll not quote his exact words on here.
alec guinness Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 Just up the road tired and needing a shower and a shave and some dinner, but I would like to say a big well done to all who have timed so far in this mare of a gold cup race, again not sure what has gone wrong but this now seems the norm for pigeon racing!!!! Had a look at the lib line which I assume some fanciers have not phoned birds in or it has not been updated since so hope that the members are good enough to let everyone know if they get a doo as it looks like there are still a few tickets to fly for, good luck. :partick-thistle-Crest:
