Tony C Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I've heard them referred to as Strawberry mealies.
billt Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I've heard them referred to as Strawberry mealies. Strawberry Mealy is the equivalent of a Pencil Blue in Red but one thing for sure It's a young cock
hotrod Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 It's a bit young to say ,let's see a pic in a few weeks .
Novice Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 Just write Mealy on the race sheet and no one will argue with you.
greenlands Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Posted March 8, 2016 Just write Mealy on the race sheet and no one will argue with you.Would like to think it will get to a race, losses in this area are getting out of hand.

greenlands Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Posted March 8, 2016 The Mealy has to be a cock and the RedCorrect mate, senior moment.
walterboswell59 Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 i have a few like this have them down as strawberry mealy
JohnQuinn Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 I don't see it as a strawberry mealy, I have "proper" strawberry mealies and they do not have the blue tinge to their plummage that this one has. IMO it's just a Mealy that will have a blue'ish/slated look to it as I have had them that way too and never considered them to be called anything other than a plain Mealy.
Novice Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 Would like to think it will get to a race, losses in this area are getting out of hand.I hope you do . It's becoming more random everywhere

REDCHEQHEN Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 I'm not very good with colours - but the two in the nest bowl - the one at the front may be an opal? I had one similar in 2004 - and it has always stuck in my head, as we've not had anything similar since!
