yeboah Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 in my eyes its the best rennes race ever. and best rennes winner ever, champion festival live circuit. thats pigeon racing at its bestIt certainly was a stiff one Davy with only 32 on the night dream pigeons when their still flying into a NW wind after 16 hours
Mossgiel Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 in my eyes its the best rennes race ever. and best rennes winner ever, champion festival live circuit. thats pigeon racing at its best I would agree Davie, a good working day. The 2nd open winner contained Newcombe blood too - I'm sure she was Tracey B - and she went on to win a Gold Award also.

lanarkshire lad Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 in my eyes its the best rennes race ever. and best rennes winner ever, champion festival live circuit. thats pigeon racing at its bestWell I suppose its all about opinion but for me the 1980 winner into paisley for Matt white ( Scotch Queen ) was as good a Rennes winner as any also into a NW wind plus I think the birdage was higher so it would get my vote.
dunc50 Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 it was tracey b. and look at the names on that result. most of them are household names in the snfc history books,3rd west sec grey & Mitchel, lesmahagow cant get the drop on that partnership, ?

An exceptional performance too - there were quite a few pigeons clocked on the day in 1980. The previous year was a tougher day imo.

Valiant Fifer Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Brilliant stuff still have some of the old results from late 70's early 80's up the loft they make interesting reading. Only 21 pigeons breaking 900 ypm the winner doing 955. My favourite type of race a head wind, it fairly sorts them out!!!
