Kyleakin Lofts Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 I'm sure a program like this will also have it's losses, but it will sort them out and the ones that are left will be the best ones (and all birds do need lady luck more so these days).The main aim here is to get our birds up this side of the Pennines, we have had several birds reported from Nationals in Liverpool and North Wales, these birds have came home in the right direction but hit the Shap and unknown territory and try and find a way through but end up stuck there exhausted, IMO Does that mean there is no way through?They are continually turned back and end up exhausted? You have had pigeons back. Did they come back up the East or did they find a way through?If they found a way through, was it eventually, thus the reason for them being later and not making the Open result?

Last year going down the West my birds started returning from the North East rather than come through the Southern Uplands which I am sure would include Shap Fell. BUT ?? who says they come up over the Shap as I havent heard any of the guys saying batches of birds were coming through Gretna,Locherbie,Dumfries etc heading North.

Midland birds from libs like Gretna, Longtown etc would head home over langholm on the east side of the solway

If the amalgamation doesn't come off your going to struggle for birdage from Arras as a lot of lanarkshire doos will be at Ypres with the SNFC.tried to tell the meeting that???????

Arras is usually the same weekend as Clermont with both nats? Are lanarkshire going to Arras the same week as ypres?

I expected it to be the same weekend as the snrpcwell it does own its own transporters and its big enuff tae go on its own with all the birds coming into the one area it will be the race tae win in the fed and we dont need tae worry bout pull of the birds. as for snrpc im nt a member and dont know there race program

Again very strange decision from the mighty lanarkshire but good luck and hope it does not turn out like carentan.

Not that i think it had anything to do with the voting but the SNFC Treated Lanarkshire with complete contempt when their bottle crashed about transport to Ypres this year, YET!!! unbelievably some Lanarkshire members still wanted to go with them again next year, IT BEGGARS BELIEF and instead of on here shouting their odds they should hang their heads in shame for their selfishness and lack of support for THEIR OWN FEDERATION.
