Im working on a rig 100 mls east of Aberdeen. Been feeding a young bird for a few days now Griz SU 15 A 7815.Went out last night after my shift to give it a feed and heres a sparrow hawk on top of it eating the back out of it. by the time I got to it it was dead just night mair. Andy W.

ive read that sparrowhawks migrate from norway sweden area to scotland for the winter probably resting on rigs and taking a meal while there

And adding to the numbers we already have here in Britian and Ireland, bleeding nightmare for anyone trying to get their latebreds out flying.

I also read that when a bird of pray migrates to this country it stays so if thats true there must be about as much birds of prey in this country as there is pigeons also the rspb says theres only 1 bird of prey per 17 mile radius what a load of bollocks when i leave work i must see at least 6 or 7 somedays even more of them

Hadnt had any trouble for a wee while up here but tonight sparrow hawk came twice but missed fortunatly. No fear of me atall, I was only ten feet from the doos as they were on loft roof.
