Whos Loft Would You Most Like To Visit

A widnae particularly like to visit any loft, However i would LOVE the chance to follow George Macaloney about for 4 weeks before racing started. His methods are more important than the doos imo.

i would like to visit the padfields in wales or black of dromore two top class lofts. have been to some of the top lofts in europe bruggerman bros , bernard dewearts which were the best team of doos ive ever seen by a mile pure class

I would like to go to Dave Nichols to see his great Mealy must be about the best in scotland at the moment looks a real superdoo.Theres that many to choose from in Europe but if i was pushed i would say Brugemann ive got there doos but never been there.

i live only a couple of miles from dennis...ive been to his loft a few times..he flys on an allotments with several other fanciers around him...the area he lives on the mountain is ice cold in winter.

 

wilf lives about 18mls away.

Yes,he's still racing in partnership with Albert Tarleton.

Its not too warm in the summer, i was at scammel & peplows loft waiting for pigeons with them, i froze my nuts off lol

Been to a quite a few lofts all over Scotland,Ireland and the North of England,but a loft visit I'll always remember was just a few miles up the road in Kirkliston.The loft of Ian 'Toddler' Brown,no longer with us.A nicer man in pigeons you could not meet.Nothing at all fancy,an old loft on a sort of small holding,but to me the man was a class act.

 

His loft was a wee treasure trove of class blood that had been winning into central Scotland for decades.The pigeons were the result of gifts and exchanges with fanciers in the calibre of Jock Watson(who I think the loft used to belong and timed a SNFC open winner back in 1975)Jimmy Feeney,Jock Cormack,Robert Cormack and Jimmy Hamilton.

A lot of beautiful red and red chequer pigeons with the big splashes,don't see too many of this type in the country any more.

Been over at Dels great team of doo`s all very much alike, but beware you don,t walk round yoursel ! it`s like a maze lol very well thought out .
