frank-123 Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Well That's it last race entered tonight I would like to say. Thank's to all the friends I have met on pigeonbasics. Good luck to you all in the future hopefully the sport will recover from the terrible racing we have had over the last few years. To the friends who gifted me birds over the years Jock Alston, Davie Hannah two gentlemen of the sport Thank you. My mentors and drinking buddies Gareth Rankin Billy Gordon Gerry Mcfall and Davie Allison. Mind non fanciers can still go to Blackpool !! Thanks for helping me get some decent results over the last few years. Special mention to Davie Allison who's knowledge of pigeons and his methods he has gladly shared with me. Billy Reid and Davie Stirling who helped me after my operation earlier this year. To all my clubmates in Burnbank I loved beating you all (not often) but I never forgot to shake the winners hand. Thank you. Frank Welsh

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 I know from talking to Frank and reading his posts on basic,s, that the passion for the pigeons is still there, therefore i have no doubt that he will be back in the sport in the coming years once his family gets that little bit older. He has always conducted himself in a very sporting manner and is some one who would always go out of his way to help another fellow fancier. You will be missed. Hope you get a cracker tomorrow Frank.
Ian McKay Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Farewell Frank it's a pity we are loosing fanciers like you, wishing you well in whatever you do in the future as you can see you will get a lot of help if you doo decide to return which I hope CheersIan
