blue pied Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 My training has been great up until today.Wait to you read this, tossed my 62 birds at Rigside at 10.05am.Im sitting here at my bedroom window almost 11 hours after liberation and havent got a feather 0/62.Seemingly there was an air show today and several jets were spotted coming up the M74 and heading east thru Bonnybridge around 11am.I just hope and pray my birds havent been frazzled.hope you get them back del :cry-blow:

It was my complete team bar 2 or 3 late ones just out nest.My loft is completely empty and I must say, I thought it was a brilliant team of ybs.They were in supreme condition and health, bred in the purple and handled like dream doos.Never been as devastated in pigeons in my life.

Novice Posted July 28, 2012 Report Posted July 28, 2012 Very sorry to read this. I fully expected a few back on Saturday. No such luck.In the past we occasionally experienced this while training in the Nith Valley.When these jets go pass when low it really scares the birds witless.

Cheers.I think the birds have been burnt by the back fumes of the jets.Cant see any other way other than total devastation by peregrines and birds were turned and headed south.

Guest stb- Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Hi Delboy, have any made their way home yet m8?del still had nothing last night . gut wrencher , it happen to me in 1982 sent 80 and my pal 20 , got nothing for 5 days i got 4 my m8 none where do they go or what happens to them all , if it was percyssome woulds have been home ok , more to this than meets the eye , the fast jets have been very active hear the last few weeks , i thot they were supposed to fly at 800ft when they went past hear last week you could see the pilots in the cockpits no prob maby 100ft above trees max hope del gets some of them soon
