With the possibility of a bit of respite from the heavy rain we have been experiencing lately, who will be taking advantage and train their doos?

Is it youngsters, or older birds preparing for an up and coming National race?

GOOD LUCKhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/animatedpigeons.gif

Just a note of caution - rain stopped play for BoPs too, so be careful today. I'm hoping to train 3 for SNFC Clermont, and 2 newly broken yearlings for next season.

Not got mine going yet, all I'm hearing is tales of bad training tosses down this way. Am beginning to wonder if the MOD are to blame, who knows what type of signals they're pushing into the atmosphere to protect the Olympics.

Took my 60 youngsters for their 2nd toss today, a distance of approx 10 miles, most of them took between 45 mins to an hour to home, still waiting on a few. Perfect weather conditions for training!

Having a mare! let them up from 10 miles at 10.20. Had one after an hour and a half, then 3 20 minutes later and not a feather since. Gutted :cry-blow:

i had my first young bird toss today 24 ybs took them 8 mile released them at 11.40 and never had a feather for 2hours ,they have been coming bk 1s and 2sn, 20 bk so far , some were coming back after 4 hours from a 8 mile toss, i reckon everyone has been tossin today and my birds have got caught up with them

Maybe so. Weather has closed in now here, so not hopeful of any more today. Hope for the morning or its season over before it starts!
