Still waiting on word from shu regarding

Racing this year?

Its not up to the SHU or the RPRA for that matter whether racing can take place this year, we will have to await lifting of travel restrictions by the Scottish Gov before anything can happen

Hi guys is the lorry driver not doing a job of work while driving the birds to the race point just a thought

Yes he is, but it is not an essential job of work therefore travel restrictions apply. Unless the rules are relaxed as they were last year, then racing will not happen. Another thought for you to ponder. The shires are opened and travel restrictions are relaxed, but the border remains closed. Unrestricted travel in Scotland, but Scotland only. A further thought, unrestricted travel in UK, but no continental travel.

There is a lot to be decided yet and the manner in which we control this pandemic and bring it under control will be crucial to these decisions being made. We do not even have a blueprint yet because there are too many unknowns. :)

I don't know. That will be for the RPRA and SHU to work out, but I suspect pigeon racing is a lot lower profile than horse racing. :)

how do you prepare your old birds for racing and when do you start

interesting older topic this

Had the cocks out 6 times and first time today they flew with speed as a team , pleased with them so far I have them on tight rations at the  moment they are a little under weight which is ok for me just in a ounce a day since mid December unless it’s a minus tempt then I give a little more

good to see how others are going
