RyanDavidson Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 What's people's views on this affecting pigeon racing. I think we will be ok and racing will go ahead as normal
THE FIFER Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 yes the restriction is on people, gatherings of over 50,
Bryngwynt Lofts Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 Don’t think it will be a problem racing this season, there may be restrictions for channel racing though.
Walter swanston Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 Fifteen to twenty fanciers meet at a marking station all in close contact perhaps 150 to 200 doos are handled put in baskets and loaded onto a transporter.Multiply this scenario by ten or twelve or more per federation, surely the risk of exposure to this virus is glaringly obvious.I very much doubt if there will be pigeon racing this year.We will need guidance from theSHU very soon and by the way I hope Iamwrong.
tyson Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 if there is no raceing so be it the health of people comes first you have to remember there is a lot of eldery fanciers in the game and they havve to be protected
RyanDavidson Posted March 14, 2020 Author Report Posted March 14, 2020 True what u say most fanciers ederley thats what i was thinking. Fingers cross all this virus calms down next couple weeks
dal2 Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 Nae difference gan tae a supermarket than gan tae marking surely?
Walter swanston Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 Entrance to supermarkets inChina and Italy is controlled and curtailed and restaurants and cafes are closed.Let ushopethat does not happen here.I genuinely hope I am wrong here Steven but I fear the worst.

Some social media experts would have us digging a bunker
tommy bhoys Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 So do I Walter but the experts are not advising that normal life should stop, quite the opposite really, the mass gatherings that have been cancelled have been voluntarily by the organisations themselves. Some social media experts would have us digging a bunkermost pigeon fanciers are in the high risk category dal this could finish the sport heres hoping that the scots immune system is better for fighting this virus as we have the flu doing its rounds here for 7months of the year anyway

yeboah Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 When the Chinese doctor alerted authority's of a new virus he was rebuffed (he's actually dead now ) The world stood by and did nothing Why not stop all flights in and out of China until problem was addressed No let every country get it first then stop flights as is happening Typical politicians making worldwide decisions once the horse has bolted

Delboy Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 What's people's views on this affecting pigeon racing. I think we will be ok and racing will go ahead as normal What an opportunity to make money, markets crashing and at an all time low. Do you think this virus wasn't man made ??? Believe me, when their is confusion or upset, there is a profit to be made.
WALLACE Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 What's people's views on this affecting pigeon racing. I think we will be ok and racing will go ahead as normalThink racing will need to be cancelled over 70s to be confined to barracks, within the next month. https://www.itv.com/news/2020-03-14/elderly-to-be-quarantined-for-four-months-in-wartime-style-mobilisation-to-combat-coronavirus/
HOMER49 Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 HiIf we are forced into a situation like SpainYou will not be racingSee 1 in 4 people don't believe in self isolation clownsCheersHomer 49
billy_g Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 Funny thing me and my work mate where talking about this being man made delboy ,think their could be something in it,anyway I’ve had pigeon lung for a few years now and have no trouble for some time now, the better half has been told if I go down with this crap get shot of all the birds ,I think us guys (fanciers) with pfl will suffer but we will fight on and not give to it,old bird racing should be cancelled for the season, why not race them with the young birds think you might better racing than normally do,hope you all keep well
Guest mambo Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 A new born baby has tested positive in the UK hope he she makes a recovery
peter2010 Posted March 15, 2020 Report Posted March 15, 2020 Neil Lennon has just told me im this year's champion as if I'd my birds out the most so I'm the winner !
Walter swanston Posted March 15, 2020 Report Posted March 15, 2020 It is all over the news this morning that Johnson and his government are going to impose self isolation on people over 70.This will definitely snooker pigeon racing for many of us.Past time for Nicola who is the elected leader of our f****** country to rescue us from these London blowhards
JCN Posted March 15, 2020 Report Posted March 15, 2020 Jesus.... If were relying on Nicola we really are f#£&d.IMO we just get on with it, if feds cancel delay/racing. Then it's private trailer and small scale club racing for the guys who want it. Simple.
