  1. Aren't the greatest photos to tell anything, are the feathers eaten to the stump. If you say her cock and young are affected I fear deplumming might which is highly contagious, and you will only know if the bird is cured from it's treatment until after it's new moult.
  2. Sounds ideal distance for a first race Clive I wish my fed started race programme over 100 miles then the 59, and 74 miles they play about with, for old birds.
  3. Brain Surgeon

  8. Velocity calculator on home page Andy, it is a great tool, are you using a laptop? I've noticed using iPhone and iPads some of the site is not accessible especially out of a Wifi zone, I've tried a few devices mine and other people's but on 3G it suggests the site contains explicit material. However different sites work
  9. Been having problems with the site velocity calculator since last season, fine working out yards per minute, when accessing the miles per hour page it just keeps refreshing
  10. Personally I want a Munich Madrid final. You get to see Barca Madrid about 4 times a year.
  11. Hopefully the planned weather will change still 5 days away to early for them IMO to give accurate forecast
  12. We are still at our planned race point Newark, weather at the moment not looking good for the weekend however
  13. He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing.(Mohammed Ali)
  14. We find through observations hens fly extremely well at the beginning of race programs when the weather isn't the greatest, and the wind blows in an easterly direction. When the sun comes out and the wind is westerly the cocks especially those on widowhood outperform hens by a considerable number. However when the distance is long, and the motivation is there hens come to the forefront once again. Young bird wise We find the best positions in our federation and combine are generally dominated by young hens.
  15. My ole mate TC, had a 1st and 2nd also well done son!

    Moult ?

It's not uncommon with a latebred I'm sorry to say.
  21. Unfortunately a simple dropping and throat swab isnt enough, in my opinion you will need a dropping culture made, to find out what is exactly wrong and the most effective treatment against it. Droppings and swabs do not offer the full picture what a culture can. But in my opinion you have been misguided if they've told you they have young bird sickness, and to treat with Baytril, to me it suggest they fear much worse, then can be shown in the basic dropping and swab test, "But hey, Baytril is an all round antibiotic so it should treat it" is the feeling I'm getting from what you have stated they have said. However I wish you can pull them through and best of luck for the coming season.
  22. East London was due to have a race this weekend but it was canceled,
  23. Been after one of there pouters for years, feel in love with them at Blackpool 7 years ago
  24. Owen this system wouldn't and doesn't work over 300 miles. But it last the full season with modifications. What I have said is the basics
  25. The number doesn't matter as long as you have double the amount of cocks to hens. Cocks in section 1 paired and rear in middle section. Then placed in there v perch compartment. Then section 3 cocks paired to the hens in middle section, rear and placed back in section 3.
