  1. No phil you have it muddled. Say you race 8 cocks, your middle compartment has 4 nest boxes, in both sections with v perches the cocks stay all week, they both are let out separated and trapped in there own v perch section. Friday evening afternoon is the only time they exercise together, and the trap into the middle compartment, where they have reared there young birds no hens are present on a Friday, they'll fight in the boxes but you must put them in separate baskets. There box is there domain. On a Saturday they trap to the middle section however the first cock home to his box goes in with the hen the later cock sees the cock and his hen for a few minutes and is Placed back to his section however the cock who came first gets his hen till late evening.
  2. Phill, I toyed with the jealousy system as I toyed with many systems. The box system although they won, it wasn't as successful as normal widowhood. However the 3 section system, where the sections consisted of 2 sections with V perches and a middle section with nest boxes, was deployed by one of the best fanciers I know and was extremely successful.
  3. Are you seriously expecting the weather men to get the forecast right 6-7 days down the line when they cannot even predict right the next days. I hope your right but I'm not counting any chickens

    I Phone 5

    £249 in shops
  5. Bill, I think you are wrong with they were originally distance birds, with Louis only playing The Noyon and Quiverain races Untill the last few years where he has moved to middle distance. Just Ask Me, would be able to give a better answer. Gevaert Van Schoorise blood runs through the veins of the Kilo line one of the line Bob has built his family around.
  6. Lmao the futures bright, the future is the season wont start till June the way it's looking
  7. We used to make it like a thick gravey mixed with lemon juice, it was applied on the corn and left on the boiler to dry, it was then like a block and crumbled and fed to them. That was before we used Zell oxygen
  8. Bit over the top fella, but since you asked so nicely it's £1.89 for 500ml in sainsburys, £1.85 same size bottle in asda
  9. Ground nut oil which is peanut oil is available in sainsburys, why bother trying to break down peanut butter when you can buy it
  10. Take away bale, the spurs supporters then keep quiet LOL
  11. You can do that but you must place a warning on your property. Without a warning you can end up going to court for injuries if the unwanted visitors of the two legged kind try to enter your premesis. To which I know all about.
  12. Far north do you have any maize or maple peas separate? It's always wise after moving young birds to put them on only large grain for at least 4 days before introducing a mixture, it stops them for only going for small grains
  13. Is there any frets to her flights? You say none thrown, do you mean she's still holding her you g bird flights?
  14. How are the birds flights? That should help in finding your answer
  15. Iwish everyone a successful season ahead
  16. Personally I like to look at old results, when I'm interested In a certain fanciers birds it opens your eyes.

    Frills

Cheers for the info H@wk, it's answered my question. they used to appear in my Lefebre Dhaenens quiet often but the frills I've had have never made the grade racing However I've never tried breeding from any either for the same reason.

    Frills

How do they come about? Have bred one from a crossing of 50% Frank Tasker x 25% Gevaert Van Schoorise x 25% Frans Laermans blood. To my knowledge there is no Frills in either parents lines, and have been paired before and never produced one.
  19. What news was it on?
  20. You couldn't Andy we used to fly to Blackpool every year until the stopped the flights a 30 minute journey was brilliant
  21. One of my best breeders was lost of the loft as a young bird and ended up at Epsom, it was still squeaking at the time. The chap singled it up it came back. It was my first bird home in the young bird LNRC that year. It's gone on to breed some good racers. They always get one chance.
  22. Ideal for watching widowhood cocks while at work

    Hens A Cock !

Unfortunately louella hasn't been the same establishment since Louis died
  24. Andy but do the advertise them as the new things on the block. A lot of louellas recent introductions have been major disappointments for the fanciers that bought them, even in Louellas eyes as they was even selling there original directs not to long ago. But I'm not saying they are not going to be a big hit. But just informing they have been on these shores for a longer time then Louella would have you imagine. Jacobs birds have been a big hit in Germany and they are in his native country Holland
  25. Louella advert advertises Jacob Poortvliet as the most exciting Sprint Middle distance family to come to the Uk for years, However they are years late, Jacobs birds first came to these shores in 2007 to my knowledge.
