Nobody forces fanciers to send their gold cup candidates to the inland nationals. As others have said there is a limited number of birds in Scotland capable of flying 500+ miles andeven less fanciers intertested in long distance racing. The inland nationals are popular and to be honest I dont know whether the snfc would be better of without them or not. My gut feeling is that membership would drop without the inland races

Joes challenge lost a bit of the magic when he allowed reserves in. For me the best would be one bird per member entered by the end of April. If its lost after that then its your tough luck. Amazed that Ireland got 586 entries. Willing to bet you will be lucky to get half that

Really think there should be a MINIMUM of twelve months before a manager can be replaced unless for exceptional circumstances like health or misconduct. If he was the best man for the job six months ago (or even one month ago when they beat Liverpool) why not now

The sections stay as they are. Only the East and West regions change.

No been much said about the East side. Theres a wee corner of Fife (dont know if there are any members there) and the likes of Arbroath Brechin and Montrose to be in a region with the golden triangle.

Dont think it can be enforced but I think most will buy from SHU because it is easier. You can buy unikon rings at Blackpool but unless you buy a certain amount they are cheaper from shu

Will try to be realistic and constructive here. The proposal for the regions will only affect "region" pools and averages as far as I can see. The "sections" would stay as they are so would not change the number of positions available on the result. Any way the proposal will obviously fail going by the negative comments on here. The suggestion of breaking points would never work in a national race as there are too many ifs and buts to consider. If a breaking point of Eyemouth was used it would have a large part of section c and most of section g measured over water. How can that be fair when we all know the majority of birds would cut inland to the forth. Pigeon racing is a dying sport and the majority of the fanciers who are left are in favour of inland nationals so my guess is they will stay. The sooner both nationals get together the better as otherwise they will both weaken each other as the membership continues to drop. On a more serious note, no-one has mentioned the deficit of £16000. Based on last years figures the increase in subs and birdage will bring in approx £11000. The committee has to have a serious look at how to cut costs. Finally dont see a problem with the meeting being in Stenhousemuir. According to google maps it is 18 miles from Airdrie. Why is it always in the west anyway. Thats surely not "fair". Dundee would suit me better. (maybe next year)

Never taken shows seriously just a bit of fun to pass the time in the winter. You will never stop so called dipped doos but as others have said there are good looking racers which are passed by because of some judges views. As far as fake flown certificates are concerned that is blatant cheating and should be dealt with as such. If there is any doubt then copies of race entry forms should be demanded.
