The reason I used the word selfish is because to drop the inland races would deprive a large number of fanciers from competing in these races which are obviously popular. I cannot understand why dropping Leicester would have an impact on entries for channel races. If Maidstone was dropped practically every federation would still go there on the same date anyway so that would not benefit entries for the channel. That only leaves Newbury. My federation races from Leicester the same day and we have a choice to send to one or both races. I agree that channel candidates may go down at this race but it is the fanciers choice whether to send or not and they can just as easily go down at a federation race. The race which has most impact on entries for Alencon is Ypres. As you said we will just have to agree to disagree. Best of luck for this season (except for the inland nationals lol)

I didn`t say the one loft race would finish the snfc. lewis said he hoped it would finish the young bird and inland nationals which I think is a selfish attitude. I hope the one loft race is a success. I was replying to lewis and in my opinion without the young bird and inland races the snfc would struggle to survive jmo

Well if it does that it will also finish the snfc. I agree with a lot of what you say on other subjects but you are way off the mark on this one

Would be interesting to know how many premier league managers Fergie has seen off since he went to Man Utd

Sunderland have sacked Martin O`Neill. Obviously not as good as he thought he was. Did ok until he had to play with the big boys

Derby Internacional Arona Tenerife - One Loft Race 2013

Well now we know. When you are sitting with 3 out of 40 from a 100 mile yb race it will be comforting to know that your missing birds are exercising their freedom of choice to seek greener pastures. It was nothing to do with BOP, bad weather, race controllers, convoyers sun spots etc -

Where do you think the rest of the doos have gone. And does anyone really care? -
Scottish football is not dying it is already dead
-
Gary Carthorse strikes again. Must be the worst defender in Scottish history. Hutton just as bad. The rest ran about like headless chickens as usual and created zilch. Levein must go!!! Oh forgot he already has

Vettel is their number one driver and they wont want to upset him. Webber is too old to go to another top team and I don't think he would want to go to a smaller team. He will retire when his contract is up but not before he forces Vettel off the track somewhere

How long is the "race" open. If there is only one doo timed does it get all the prizemoney -
Wonder how long before the fans and the press turn on the ginger nut. Heard Pat "know all" Nevin knocking his tactics last night. We just have to face up to the fact we are pure crap and will never qualify for anything in the forseeable future. If you have defenders who cant defend (Caldwell), midfielders who cant hold the ball (Adam) and strikers who cant score (Miller) there is no hope
-
from what I remember it was a pied but red chequer on one side and blue chequer on the other. the owner raced it as well but I cant remember how it did.
-
I`ve seen one like that many years ago
-
Don't think it is helpful to have posts about tenders, prices etc when nothing has been decided. In the business world any discussion like that is illegal prior to the contract being awarded. This is going like the ETS battery debacle and look what happened there,. I think admin needs to keep closer tabs on thread like this. By all means have an opinion but certain points must remain confidential.

Will be interesting to see how your federation fares with state of the art transport this year. It will be one less excuse for a bad race. PS I was hanging out the window with the coat hanger and I got a great view of the neighbours 50" LCD telly
-
The dark ages being when the national sent 7000+ pigeons to Rennes on a Catterall transporter in wicker baskets on shavings. Don't remember any complaints about drinkers, ventilation etc then and not many bad races either and we didn't chop and change race points every year. Anyway back to the rugby for those of you with black and white tv Ireland are in the light grey
-
Wouldnt have a problem going with a professional transport company no matter where from if the cost is reasonable. Got to say I am not keen on metal or plastic crates. Birds always look much more comfortable in wicker baskets on shavings. jmo
-
Correct! The "confined to loft" means that when its time is recorded it is "in" the loft as opposed to "on" a landing board outside the loft. If you want to let the bird out of the loft again after it is timed that is irrelevant as far as the rule goes
-
why have you changed from Ridsdale to Otterburn
-
probably costs about 5p to make a pint of beer and 1p to make a fag yet millions of folk pay the going price without a second thought. look in your bhw every week and see the prices for young birds that cost a couple of quid to rear. who are the mugs???

Another great article by the best writer in the business
-
the only monkey i waste time on is you. i dont know who the snfc are going with because i am not on the committee but i do know when i take my birds to the race marking there will be a transporter there to take them. that`ll do me. why does the union have to pay someone to take them; the shu dont organise races. by the way i dont look like you

well they own the title of the greatest club in the land and like Tiger says you own the title of PLONKER
