I was worried I had changed his prep and last year he threw his first before basketing this year he threw his third in basket plus his yb was a week younger but he is a class act and today he looks a million dollars as if he never left the loft .

But do I send him again to roye ,not sure .

Well another gold cup has come and gone ,dreams have been realised and shattered but some gallant pigeons put up some great performances get again , well done to everyone who timed in very trying conditions ,special well done to Colin Greive from Greengairs who had the b---s to send his fourth open from 2017 and time again on the shift great stuff.

thanks for all the kind words guys its great when the plan comes together been my dream since a wee lad to do well in the gold cup and had many

soul destroying years trying to all the guys that did not get a timer its you guys that make this great race what it is so dont lose heart get the birds put the work in and it will happen you cant teach a bird to fly 500 miles its got it or its not im lapping it up while i have them as i might not always then its a start from scratch again and im getting to old for that good luck to you all and keep trying it will come ill give you a wee story in the winter months on set up of these two hens as i had a wee problem with both and it was all about knowing your birds which maybe of interest to some of the new guys when setting up there birds for 500 miles thankyou all again
