After sitting listening to the panel at shu show ,both Davy Jamison &John baillie said they want to join Bicc and fly 700/800 mls .

I have always desired the chance to fly this distance and have brought birds with this in mind .( my health withstanding)

How would your prep go.

Feeding

Training

Rest

And racing condition ie widow ,roundabout ,celibate ,or natural

Just a discussion while X factor is on lol.

Think you keep the birds the same as usual. .......and then hope for some luck that is certainly required from 800mile. .....its not racing for me Colin

Not so sure about just luck as the north lads are already doing 700 but no doubt luck in any race is a good thing Steven

If it was taking 3 days I agree that's not racing .

They are doing this in Holland these distances no reason why the Scottish guys can't do it

It's that flat you can see 800 miles in Holland Geo

nver said they didnt.. you mentioned English flyers from the extreme South and my point was its different in to the West of Scotland than it is in Kent

Like I've said in my opinion good birds win anywhere,

and fly in to the very South of England... wee bit harder up here

Agree 100% different ball game flying to the south coast of England compared flying into Scotland, the NFC had a Scottish section few years back don't know if it's still running

I remember seeing an NFC result not too long ago (within the last five years) and somebody from Scotland timed in 2 within seconds of each other I'm sure it was just over 800 miles (802?) Maybe 2nd day?
