jake12 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Do any members on here know anything about the result of the Midland National One Loft Race. It was apparently flown from Countance last week, but I can`t find any info on the website. John Bosworth and I had two birds left in it. :emoticon-0167-beer: PS I find it strange that Bozzie and Arlene flew out on an exotic holiday the day after it.

jake12 Posted September 24, 2016 Author Report Posted September 24, 2016 None in race time AllanGeorge I would think after a week there could have been some info on the website regarding this race. ( I don`t mean the result of the Committee Meeting ) It`s always been my opinion that with any delays or problems with pigeon races / matters, it`s appreciated by the members if they are kept informed. PS I hope our doo pals have good luck in the Algarve race today, Scot / Eng / Ireland or Wales
JohnQuinn Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 If they have libbed 4,000 Doos and there were none in race time they should be barred from running any more OLR's. Jmo.
cemetary Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 If they have libbed 4,000 Doos and there were none in race time they should be barred from running any more OLR's. Jmo. You would have thought of liberating 4000 birds that something would have got through, looks like they have been swallowed up with no survivors then, vey strange for nowt to show up. ;)
Ian McKay Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 If they have libbed 4,000 Doos and there were none in race time they should be barred from running any more OLR's. Jmo. Where did you get 4,000 from John it was less than 150 :emoticon-0179-headbang:
DJWa Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 If they have libbed 4,000 Doos and there were none in race time they should be barred from running any more OLR's. Jmo. mnfc one loft race libbed 114 birds john no birds in race time the mnfc race libbed 4000 the winners were doing over 1200 ypm
REDCHEQHEN Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 There were 671 I think at the beginning and 114 in the final race I think there may be a mix up with the MNFC race that took place the same day from the same race point
Novice Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 mnfc one loft race libbed 114 birds john no birds in race time the mnfc race libbed 4000 the winners were doing over 1200 ypm There was a time lapse of 15 minutes between liberations.
JohnQuinn Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 mnfc one loft race libbed 114 birds john no birds in race time the mnfc race libbed 4000 the winners were doing over 1200 ypm I struggled to find the correct page for the birdage but one of the races a looked at had 4,000. Site isnae the easiest tae navigate. 114 birds obviously isn't as bad but you'd be disappointed if one or two of them were yours.
Roland Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 MNFC ONE LOFT RACE Due to the many inconsistencies surrounding the above race and the preparation for the actual race, the Management Committee of the MNFC will be holding a meeting, in the very near future, to investigate the problems that occured and to decide on the remedial actions that are to be taken. The outcome of this meeting will be published on this Website and hopefully in the Fancy Press as soon as possible after the meeting has taken place. Roy Jones - President MNFCThen below.... But I don't think for a moment this is / was the One loft Race. MNFC Coutances YB Flash Report D & J Hawkins & Evans Look Like Taking The Top Spot At 9.00am on Sunday the 18th September 2016 the final race of the season the 4,000 plus convoy of young birds were released after a one day holdover due to the strength of the North North Westerly wind on the channel throughout the day on the Saturday. This seemed to be to the dissatisfaction of a few but surely the decision made by the Club following long and protracted discussions with the weather experts and the fact that there is a MNFC rule in place (22.7) that the action taken was the correct one. And credit should be given for the decision.
JohnQuinn Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 Aye that's what I seen Roland, but missed that wee comment about its validity.
dal2 Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 If an individual member sent 114 to countance and got heee-haw back it would be all over the pigeon grapevine but it seems to be under the radar
ALF Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 If an individual member sent 114 to countance and got heee-haw back it would be all over the pigeon grapevine but it seems to be under the radar Your right and if it was me i would chuck it right away sending 114 to a race and getting heehaw is ridiculous
Roland Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Well will be interesting to see what they do. Personally I think that EVERY person that sent should get a full refund. Think maybe just them that had birds in that race will. 2 -3 -4 BIRDS they should get full refund on 2 - 3 - 4 birds like.
geordie1234 Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 114 ybs across the channel themselves was a recipe for disaster
Froog Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 114 ybs across the channel themselves was a recipe for disaster Total agreement, why not libbed with main national?
Roland Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Well Geordie on that thesis one should never have any success with training ... certainly not any singling up. Or is one saying that one needs more than a 114 so that there is one or two to show the rest the way home?
